It's not a CVT in the sense you think of with a belt and cones. Toyota has been using the "ECTV" in their hybrids which is a split transfer system that is electronic. They are considered pretty bullet proof for the life of the car. I've haven't heard of a single one getting replaced and the Prius is well over 20 years old.

I just tested a 2021 Venza XLE in CA. It was quiet, smooth accelerating. However, the headroom is marginal, seats are average, controls are hard to see, and the rear storage was smaller than expected. It did come with a spare tire and the lights were good. Paint is very good. Overall, however, I liked the new Crown sedan much better. I will be waiting for its brother, the new Crown Signia, to arrive in summer 2024.

Those rear turn signals can almost guarantee a person driving his lifted ram on 40’s is going to rear end you because they’re not paying attention and didn’t see your turn signal.

All Toyota’s are overpriced of $2000.00 per ABCnews. Due to upgrade of discs to enhance the electronics and technology of the hybrid Toyota’s. Until then after this pandemic will consider the White XLE Venza with alarm/camera installation.
