So I tested first the Moto2 Street and than the Speed. So basically the Speed will arrive in 2-3 weeks 🇨🇭. I can't wait that long. I just can't. I felt just like you on it. Amazed and happy 😍. I hope there won't be any stories again like blown (765ccm) engines. Oh and the only thing I hate about the speed is the exhaust. Like seriously the bike is expensive and they put an ugly a55 exhaust like in the 00s. There are other stock exhausts with valve system which look way better. Even a beer can looks better. Let us hope there will be a legal aftermarket exhaust in europe/worldwide. 😜

@@jeffreymeesterman5292 i went from a 2014 mt09( heavily upgraded) to a sdr1290 and now potentially back to mt09 (2021 sp) cause of lock downs i cant access a track and my bike is my main form of comuitting. A liter class super naked feels so so so excessive to commute in a city thru stop n go traffic 😖. So i guess it depends on your needs. Well done, a proper review. In the uk every pro test rider has said its too stiff yet you recon its comfy. I wish the pro testers had your enthusiasm. It looks like a great bike most riders would be happy to own and have a smile on their faces when they open the garage door. I think the testers in the uk have not done this bike any justice. Such a shame as it’s clearly an awesome bike, real world reviews are far more interesting as let’s face it most of us are average riders not pro racers.
@MotoFeelz3 жыл бұрын
Exactly! I am not by any means a pro rider, or have that much experience with fast bikes, or have ever ridden the track. This was me just taking it out for a rip and sharing my thoughts. The suspension felt fine for a regular city commute, but was noticeably stiff when I hit the country roads. I guess you could soften up the suspension when not on the track, then re setup for track day. If I had the coin it’d be in my garage 👌

great review! Pretty well convinced that ur riding my next bike. Been checking YT for Reviews every week since they announced... & Ur Review covered a lot of the stuff I wanted an opinion on (from a Non-Moto Journalist POV). Def a bit jealous right now, but really happy to see that its coming to U.S. for under $20K, essentially track-ready. Looks like triumph really upped their game on this new ver. of the Speed Triple & especially didn't forget about/ skip out on any important components or key features inc. Electronics & dash etc. I'm guessing its gonna be a home run for them, even here. Thanks again✌

Neutral synchro is probably on the output shaft of the transmission. If the back wheel is totally stopped it's very hard to find neutral. Rock the bike backwards a couple inches as you toe the gear lever up from first.

@@MotoFeelz thanks for the reply. Yeah maybe there was clutch drag? On a new bike sometimes the clutch drags a bit and that makes it really hard to get neutral. Once the run-in oil is changed and the clutchnplates bed in a bit it might get better... 🙂

I bought this bike 6 days ago and it's been great. The weather unfortunately - not so much, so I've only been able to put in around 140km on the bike so far. Lots of positives in this bike, including the suspension which in my opinion is great for the road (I'm 176cm and 80kg). The only negatives so far are the menus, which are a bit cumbersome to use and have slow animations, and the gearing of 2nd gear. If I encounter slow traffic (around 30km/h) I need to pull the clutch and roll the bike or shift to 1st because the bike doesn't really like to go 30km/h or less on 2nd gear. Other than that it's a really awesome bike!
