I am completely ignorant about this entire universe, yet I am still thoroughly impressed with this although I am not the least bit surprised that it is a current offering from Yamaha. If someone told me I had to get a Coaxially sintered 4 seat Jingleswanger rated for all-weather fractal-fournier transcapitualation, my first question would be: “Does Yamaha make one, and does it have an ‘automatic’ mode?”, and if so, I would have a high degee of confidence that I would be getting one of the best, even in the minds of experts, even though I had not the faintest CLUE what the HELL it was, what it did, or what it was used for. I don’t know of any other company that carries such a reputation of not only superb quality in general as well as ‘quality-per-dollar’ - across such an insanely huge range of broadly DISSIMILAR products. Need a bass boat? A sound mixing console? snow skis? An 11 foot grand piano? Maybe a motorcycle? Tennis racket? A bass trombone with a trigger-valve, perhaps? Studio-grade headphones? Time to upgrade the 4-wheel ATV? How about every single component of a professional sound reinforcement system for a football stadium concert? Time for an AIRPLANE? Haven’t you always wanted a set of drums - electronic or acoustic? Is that diverse enough for you? This could go on forever. And in each case, there are companies that make nothing but that category of thing, and yet Yamaha’s version will go toe-to-toe with their top model, and might even beat, and at quite possibly a better price. Who would have thought such a thing to even be hoped for, or dreamt of? *** This is a beautiful craft, thanks for a thorough but concise review and video. ***

Unfortunately, that is the new reality that we are living in since the covid shut down most manufactures of parts, engines, boats etc. We sure they will catch up, and we will be back to normal in no time. Thanks for the great comment!

@@bmcpaula No its because Yamaha decided to screw every person that bought their product and stopped shipping parts to US dealers for nearly 3 months while they redid their inventory system. IM sick of companies using covid as an excuse for their incompetence and inability to to be efficient. Ive had no trouble getting parts for my Seadoos, nor have I had any problems getting parts to service my twin cummins powered Luhrs, because you can use parts from more than just the brand of boat. However my 80k Yamaha jet boat sits worthless for a simple 200 dollar steering part that every time the estimated shipping date of the part comes near it gets pushed another month. Thanks to them only letting you use proprietary Yamaha parts to service it. Cant wait to unload the hunk of junk.

@@Rlnthndr Unfortunately, the past year’s events are affecting many industries. Try buying new living room furniture….6 month wait. Building a house….add 3-4 months to whatever the builder tells you. The automotive industry is having a serious problem obtaining textiles, and semiconductors for ecu components. Yamaha by far, isn’t the only one in this boat. Most of the top boat manufacturers have sold all of the boats they will produce for the next year, so good luck finding something to replace your Yamaha. I hate that you can’t use your boat right now, but it’s a problem that’s happening across many industries. Maybe if government stops paying people to sit at home on their asses, we will get some parts made for everything we want and need.

Frank, as far as we know there are two motors at 160hp each so 320hp, and there is 1.8 liters in each motor. Does that answer your question?

Sorry, John, yamaha’s decision to exploit the cheapest labor in the global market (and thus exposing their supply chain to tremendous risk in a covid type situation) - is not because of “lazy Californians”.
