Deciding between the two right now!!! Just what I need to see. You just see them both on the Sales floor at all. Thanks

both are great bikes. the Kodiak is a little smaller. its not as wide as the grizzly. and has a tighter turning radius.....hope this helps you decide.

Forgot to add. The grizzly has taller handle bars and higher seating position, which make it better for stand up drivers. The kodiak has lower seating position and lower handle bars in comparison.

I've ordered the base Kodiak. Where would one use the differential lock? Is there any reason to go for that for someone who will mostly be puttering along fire roads and trails.
@GILLFAMILY2 жыл бұрын
Rich thanks for watching. I would only use it in thick mud. Or some difficult areas where 4 low won’t work. I hope that helps..
@therealcountrybumpkin2 жыл бұрын
Diff locks can make the difference of making it home or not. Or having to get help from someone if you don’t have a winch or riding alone. Where I live, if I get stranded, it’s not gonna be pretty lol

Sorry bit of a novice, what exactly is the diffrence between the disk break and the wet break? Is there a good reason to go for one over the other if you know? Also kinda silly how they did the front bumper bar for the grizzly considering it means the front platic is going to have to get crushed before the bar hits

Can you put the grizzly seat on the kodiak? I’ve heard rumor that you can.. is that true? The extra padding is needed.
@GILLFAMILY3 жыл бұрын
Tyler thanks for watching ..in short YES.. just tried it out. it will work.. how ever the fit is not as tight.. there is about 1" of extra padding on the grizzly seat.. hope this helped..

Kodiak does not have any LED head lights, Kodiak seat is not as comfy as the grizzly. Kodiak sits a tad lower than Grizzly, different handle bars and they are geared different.

Thanks for you input..The lower lights on the Grizzly are led and the upper is halogen. The lights on the Kodiak are halogen. I am told only the SE model has the 3rd light.and the orange model of the Kodiak doesn’t come with a stock winch.

Thanks for the video. Do you feel a difference in suspension when riding them? I have a 2005 Kodiak 450 and a 2003 Grizzly 660. The Grizzly has much nicer suspension. Even though the Kodiak has independent suspension and set as soft as it will go it's stiff compared to the Grizzly. Both have been great machines but it's time to get my wife a new machine with EPS. I like the narrower, and cheaper, Kodiak but don't want to sacrifice ride comfort. I am checking your other videos now for any follow-up info. We also have a Labrador. :)

Thanks for watching. I do feel a difference in the suspension. With the Grizzly the stiffer setting is good for me from factory. As a heavier set fella. And the softer setting on the Kodiak is perfect for my wife. As she is a smaller structure women. Hope this helped. I’m hoping to take a ride this weekend

Thanks for the video I was thinking of purchasing a 2005 Kawasaki Brute Force 650 with 2,300 miles on it. But I'm rethinking it maybe just buy a Yamaha Grizzly 700. What do you think of a Kawasaki Brute Force 650 2005? Thank you for the video

thanks for watching.im not familiar with the Kawasaki. so i cant comment on it..as for the Grizzly and Kodiak i would definitely purchase them again.

The grizzly has two inch wider stance because of longer control arm, shocks, and axles vs the kodiak... The grizzly has 4 wheel disc brakes vs the kodiaks front disks, rear wet brakes. The grizzly uses the sportier 18 gram weights in the primary sheave, the kodiak has the lazier 30 gram weights Grizzly has wider fenders to accomidate the wider stance vs the kodiaks narrower wheel stance and fenders.

I can’t speak for Polaris. For me the power is good enough. I may add spacers for the belt on both the Grizzly And the Kodiak just to help a little .. and may add a tuner later. But I’m happy with it stock

i believe they are within a few HP of each other. However the 10 year belt warranty on the CVT of the Yamaha is what seals the deal for me. There's got to be a reason i don't see many used Yamahas for sale often, and when i do, they are at a premium price.
