I have heard that some people experience fuel pump failures with the Yamaha’s . I remember looking into the comparisons between Honda, and Yamaha a while back. The assembly process is different, some people experience problems with the handlebars. The bolts falling out shouldn’t be happening, that sounds like a quality control issue during the assembly process. I seen one guy who just bought one of the new can am outlander 700 xmr models with the crankcase bolts hanging out, and parts such as loose hoses which suggested poor quality control. I mean crankcase bolts hanging out 3-4inches just hanging out, sounds awful for a brand new 12,000 dollar machine. They are manufactured in Juarez, Mexico just across the border from Elpaso Texas. I believe the Yamaha engines should be on par with Honda based on some lab tests from their motorcycle lines. Actually Yamaha ranked slightly higher in their tests, but all the Japanese engines were within the same bracket. I believe it went Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, then Suzuki. I haven’t seen any Yamaha’s with 30,000 and above miles on them though, 1 Suzuki with over 50,000 miles, and 1 claim of a Kawasaki prairie 650 with just over 60,000 miles on it, but can’t confirm. I believe once riders reach those higher numbers the machine while still running, may just be wore out all around, and basically merits getting a new machine. Maybe they could hit 70,000 but 20,000 more miles on a machine that wore down would or make for a rough 20,000 miles.

@@jonsatvoutdoorchannel6686 I don’t go in huge mud holes but I’ve been through creeks and mud I can’t avoid I’ve had it up over my knees multiple times never got water in the belt all the important stuff is mounted up by the speedometer and the battery is up high right in the front hood. Important stuff meaning air intake your differential hoses are all up at the top of the machine. You would have to be up to the handlebars in the water . I was worried about all that stuff before I bought mine. I went to the dealer they showed me how Cf Moto had the machines set up. I love my purchase and would do it over again . I’m pretty much team CfMoto that’s how good these machines handle. I swapped out with my friends Can Am and my other buddies Bruteforce on the one ride we went on and I couldn’t wait to get back on mine . The Can am does have more power but it’s way more sketchy climbing the rocky steep hills where I ride. My CF Moto climbs like a Goat I think it does so good in that terrain because of the long wheel base . It feels more stable

I bought a 2024 Yamaha Grizzly 700 XTR a couple months ago, but I'm not even out of the break-in period yet. I have only put a little over 14 hours on it. But I can tell you right now there's two things I hate about it. Number one is the engine heat. Like you mentioned it will cook your leg. If I'm riding 15 mph or over it's not much of a problem, but I bought this for mainly utility which means going fairly slow a lot. When my wife is riding with me my leg gets really cooked. The second thing I hate is the tires. I absolutely HATE those things. I'm not a mudder, but when I'm riding our property there's places where we go through mud and it will get slung all over you. Like you said also, it will throw the hell out of some rocks. Good grief! Those tires are getting replaced sooner than later. I switched to the Yamaha from a 2009 Honda Rancher that I bought new that year. That was a fantastic machine and I only had one problem with it in the 15 years I owned it. I switched because I wanted more power and an automatic transmission. I do not miss the electronic shift of my Honda.

This video has to be made. I just put 150 miles on my 08 in WV at Hatfield McCoys. My exhaust tip fell of for hell's sake. Fixed my reverse sensor issue last year and that came back. I got two new cracks in the floorboards and I didn't even abuse it much. 3 bolts went missing too from my rack. As much as I love the quad some things are terrible. I drove with my dad on KingQuad 700 with the same trails and same abuse. The KingQuad handled it all like a Piece of cake and nothing broke.
@JacobOverman6 ай бұрын
Maybe I’ll have to try a king quad next! I think I’ll stick with Honda no matter what though next time. To many little issues with the grizzly. It’s a beast as it sits but has 100 small things taking all the credit away from it. Yesterday after I uploaded this video. I changed the diff fluid and oil. Not only is it Allen key to drain the diffs which is terrible enough as it is. The front is a different size than the back, you need a 8mm,10mm,19mm, 4mm Allen, and a filter wrench to change the oil. Pull plastic and a bunch of other stuff. On the Honda it’s much easier. I also had noticed my bolt that holds the shock on was about to come out. The nut was on its last thread. Unacceptable poor quality

@@JacobOverman yeah. I had a honda 3 wheeler project and loved it. I like how honda still makes outdated quads which is fun and I love them. They are super bulletproof. I don't know what the highest mileage honda I've ever seen was but I once saw a KingQuad 500 used on a farm and racked up 35,000 Miles on the original engine and everything. No major repairs and only regular maintnence. Can am makes really nice machines but as for what I've heard working on them is a pain in the rear end and they break often with even worse quality control than Yamaha... i'd test drive though. And I replaced my oil filter with a K&N so I can use a regular socket or wrench to take it off now. I hate those filters that require a filter wrench.

The reason you need to tune your Grizzly is because of all the government EPA regulations that force them to run lean and hot from the factory. Every bike I've had since the 80s has had to have the air box opened up and be re-jetted to get them to run clean and efficient. Stop being stubborn and help your machine run its best. 😊
