I tried pulling my the center of the bar out on my 09 as well and found out that the rubber goes almost halfway through the bar! If you ever take that bar off you will feel how heavy it it. But when I asked my local dealer they said it was for vibration control. Great video man!

Blockhead, To remove the rubber insert, semi screw in a bolt, take a rubber mallet and give it a couple whacks until you feel it move, then put on your muscles and yank it out. I just removed those rubber inserts from 2 of my bikes this last week.

If you get a longer m6 bolt you can keep the bar end weight and also use washers against the grips to extend the adaptor instead of grinding the expending clip. I been using bar end mirrors for ever and they all come as universal so i had to come up with ways to install them as well lol. I used (M6 - 90mm bolt) but measure to make sure, some bar end weights are longer/shorter. In some cases i used 75mm.

You mounted the mirrors onto the bar end for a 2021? I've seen that done on previous versions, but with the new 2021, the bar ends taper down, so it's not possible. Or you're saying you added a spacer between the weighted bar end and the grips that the mirror mounts to?

Sorry I didn’t explain it well, im french. But ya the second one, so from the handle bar (grip) i put about 2-3 washers, then the mirror adapter then add the bar end weight with longer bolt of course. It does add length tho but i think it the weights help with vibration.

@@breakwood8531 I’m looking for a solution to this as well. I believe I need to find a longer bolt. Had too much vibration when I removed the stock bar ends to install these mirrors. Lowe’s didn’t have a long enough bolt. I’ll be looking elsewhere.

I used the Graves Bar end adapter instead with my Arrow mirrors. Looks and works perfectly. Video on my channel if you wanted to see it. Looks great!

I run CRG mirrors on my bike too. Called ‘Lane Splitter”. Also fold in to squeeze thru cars- hence the “LaneSplitter” name. Get it? 🙄😂 Anyways they’re really high quality, I get no shake in them while I’m on the street or freeway, & the glass is replaceable. Good stuff 👍🏻

looks nice but the weighted bar ends are to cut down on vibration through the handle bars. In my opinion Rhino bar ends are probably a better solution with this in mind.

right mirror reverse threaded so it's less likely to loosen from the wind maybe?

I thought that also, but if the right mirror, which sticks up and right, were to get pushed back from the wind (which would be clockwise based on its position,) wouldn't it tighten with normal threading, and loosen with reverse threading?

well damn, I was hoping to find out how you removed those inserts so I can install my De Pretto Moto mirrors, they came with a tool to remove the inserts but it has only worked on the left handside, so sofar Ive got a solid as hell mirror on my left side and nothing on the right.

I recently installed the same mirrors. For the price premium it really ought to come with proper bar-end adapters instead of making you shell out more cash. I have a 2020 (previous gen) and ended up buying the FENRIR adapter with threaded ends from Amazon for $22 CAD. It fit perfectly without modification and took all of 10 seconds to install. I've seen other products that would probably work with the 2021 out of the box.

Nevermind, saw the link in description. 🙏🏼Mirrors look rad on the bike. Mine will be on the way shortly. FYI…Graves bar end spacers for the R6/R1 work perfectly. You could also pick up a pair of 10x50 M6 bolts as well to use some bar ends with the spacers.

Depends what the inside of the bar looks like. Take the bar end off and see. I imagine they probably did it the same.
