The production quality on these videos is just insane. Whoever produces them deserves a ton of credit. Exciting to see this truck transform.

You'll be very happy with your Alucab setup, I love mine. I have a custom Alucab Habitat on my Defender 130, which just sold, and now rocking a plethora of AC items on my Toyota Land Cruiser 78 series. Easy to use, and good customer support. I love the new Tundra, I've only had cruisers, 4runners and Tacomas, but may need to make the swap to a tundra when I go back home to the USA after my Cape Town to Shanghai overland trip is done. If your next big 'reveal' expedition is Africa- you may want to take the vinyl wraps off all the trucks going on it. 😉

I know you guys have had solid support from other companies and they make solid products. But your whole team is going to wonder why they ever messed with a tent other than the Alucab. They are incredibly easy to use, and for the sake of safety they are well worth the cost. If I’m solo and hurt myself, or someone in my group gets hurt and we need to get out, or for any reason feel uncomfortable sleeping somewhere it can be packed up faster than it takes to stuff a camp chair into it’s bag. I’ve got several years in the tent, and very much looking forward to getting the Canopy Camper this fall for a new build. The only downside is you won’t want to try new stuff in the future because it all starts looking like way too much effort.

Clay and crew, my family and I are anxious to watch this build over time and are excited that you have got your hands on this truck. New drive trains always create a bit of anxiety especially for those of us who have found our old systems to be extremely dependable (2000 uzj100 w/500k mi. 2008 5.7 tundra w 250k mi. 2006 taco @ 350k mi., The uzj200 is only at 115k mi). I can't wait to watch and hope to see this truck tested. Thank you for all your videos!

Dang that is super legit! I will say, the one thing that kind of bums me out about newer vehicles is the invasion of privacy that rivals that of your phone. The fact that there's a remote kill switch that supposedly only LE can use, is a security hole that nation states and bad actors in the wild will most certainly take advantage of. Anyway, mini rant over lol.

Good luck! I have a lifted 5th gen 4Runner and was looking to upgrade to the new Tundra, but that awful front end and turbo V6 convinced me to hold on to the 4Runner. Interested to see what kind of front-end protection you come up with and just how much hacking and cutting will have to be done to get it to work with the large mouth bass grill.

Hey Clay, quick question. On most Alu-Cab Canopy Campers, the side doors that lift have a diamond plate tread design on them. I noticed the Alu-Cabin for the Tundra has smooth side doors. Is this something you customed ordered from Alu-Cab?

The color on the right side of the camera/video is off during the beginning outdoor shots. Might look into that before using it for future videos. It's quite distracting. Great video otherwise.

Too many missed opportunities by Toyota. The transfer case is a big disappointment. How did Toyota not include an auto mode? TRD Pro requires getting hybrid, which wouldn’t be all bad if the battery take up so much cargo room, or it had a 7000W generator.

I luv the old style tundras. The front grill on the new tundra is ridiculous and gawdy. It engulfs the front of the truck. 👀 Test drove one with a 26' travel trailer about 7500 lbs. The towing capacity for RVs is suspect (as expected for a V6). Its worse than my 2016 trd pro and its pulling a 30'. Hard Pass. Just sold my 2016 trd pro for a 3500 diesel. 🙄🤷🏻♂️
