Coming from a 10-year-old Apple TV - I needed a new one - "obviously"... If I were to only need a new remote I figure the $60 price tag would be well worth it. How can a remote control be so great... 1- quickly open a new app with Siri & button location 2 - new trackpad becomes intuitive very fast - may be too sensitive on occasion 3- having a Mute button on it is well worth it - I use it all the time. Not having to dig up the television remote - 4- the size is just right in the hand - the flat sides (ala iPhone 12) are gold - Very ergonomic. 5- Rechargeable battery 6- Being able to easily use the controls (most used are the mute, volume & pause buttons) without requiring to pick the remote up is also nice (for me 50% of the time) Lots of smaller remotes are not so well designed in that way! After a few more days I end up using all of the buttons in that way & less so the trackpad part. 7 The ability to start and shut down Apple TV * television with one power button is great. I use the power button all the time - it is the only remote I have to use now. 8- the backspace button is concave - makes it easier to find as the other buttons are not. For the Apple TV 4K (future proof for newer set & improved resolutions) 32GB- what I like best - in no order 1- Picture & picture 2- Faster 3- Just better overall 4- Able to lock in playback speed in YT (not able to do that on the old A tv - firestick did not permanently lock it in) 5- TV+ app integration with some other apps One thing I will miss for ease of use (as on the Fire Stick remote) is to be able to simply with a 2 button press (1 long - 1 short) "save to watch later" a video while browsing on KZbin. With Apple, it is way less easy (more miserable - 8 button press) to do. Interesting how in the unboxing videos - No one commented on the very well-designed shipping box that the A tv box was shipped in. Those who showed the shipping box just cut the plastic without realizing a hammock-style suspension that was employed. Simply Brilliant... One month later for me. I think it works great overall I love having the mute button - game-changer when letter ads run their course. The trackpad is good and I use it a lot - except there ends up being many false actions that occur. The Siri button is used a lot and the button location is spot on.

can I change my region on apple tv like vpn to access content without consequences and change it back like nothing happened or is there something i should worry when doing it?

Unlike a phone or a computer where you can just download a vpn app, appletv has none. What you can do is setup the vpn service on your router, nord vpn has a tool called SmartDNS. It all depends on seeing if your vpn has a similar feature and if your router supports it.

Sounds like you're looking for a DVR type system. Or theres subscribtions that have all the shows like KZbin TV, Sling, Direct TV.

Yes, through AirPlay which is a different connection. You'll need wifi though to setup AppleTv.

2.1 will get you 4k 120hz, see if you can borrow one to test if thats the issue first before you buy.

Great new AppleTv Only issue I have is Starlink, All other IOS devices recognise where I live Apple TV locates me in Sydney NSW 890kms from where I live 👎🏽

High end tvs nowadays are smart androidtv or googletv. What’s makes Apple TV stand out when compared to the built in android/google tv software?

Software wise, nothing really. Devices like these are all the same in basic functionality which is streaming music, tv, and assistant. This is mainly aimed for tv's who aren't smart equipped and/or for people who are already in the Apple ecosystem that would like added functionality, such as Air Play from their iPhone, iPad, MacBooks. And currently use or may want to use services like Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness, etc.

For me Apple TV 4K looks way better (Dolby Vision) than the Google tv apps on my Sony A80J.

Super helpful! Random question: do you know if I can stream audio to the HomePod that is attached to my appletv without also streaming the video? (like if I wanted to watch a video on my mobile device, but using the HomePods that are linked to my appleTv)

Thanks! Yes you can, just select only the homepod and unselect the appleTV if need be.

@@Juanaponymous not quite. basically you're just selecting which one to use. At first it's going to connect to both with a check mark on both the homepod and appletv. just click on the apple tv to deselect it and it should go to just the homepod. hope that helps!

@@fadelmahade3044 Ohhhh, I see. When I was searching I did come across articles saying there is no App Store Support (Where you download programs and stuff for your iphone) over in Morocco. So yea if thats the case then I would think that the Apple TV+ App wouldn't be available. Have you tried a VPN?

@@fadelmahade3044 Yea same, the Article I was reading said that because not a lot of people use Apple there in Morocco, they don't have enough resources to give support. But, I would try a VPN like NordVPN, then just switch your ip address to U.S. and see if you can download and watch. There's a lot of VPNs with free trials so you can test to see if it works. sorry to hear that, you should be able to return it if you recently bought it. but on that note, apple releases updates for siri world wide adding more languages for siri, hopefully they add yours soon!
