Okay, wow, that is a massive upgrade over the outgoing generation! I love the new body lines and accents and the interior is stellar! It's a bummer to see some of the tactile buttons of previous models replaced with a more touch-centric user experience, but Audi seems to do a decent job at compensating with intuitive controls and logical layouts. I've been looking for compact AWD daily drivers to augment my fair weather vehicles, and cars like these just make so much sense! Can't wait to test one out!

The “mild hybrid” thing looks like a big expense in the long run. The 12V battery is not a do-it-yourself replacement when it fails because the dealer has to reprogram the car to recognize the new battery: $500. And if the 48 V battery that basically runs the car goes: $2700. The warranty is 4 years (I don’t remember exactly). So there is an indication here that every 4-5 years, be prepared for a $3200 battery replacement fee!!

I think besides styling, they have taken a step back or not improves at all. The previous engine was just fine what is 200hp going to do with an AWD in the snow or in rough conditions.
@rudolfschenker2 жыл бұрын
This car is not a step back at all, it is a step forward in power, fuel economy, size, and tech. The stability and traction control systems are what work with the AWD system to get through snow, the engine's power figures have nothing to do with it.

I just test drove an A3 FWD version and was very impressed . I am considering a 23 A3 FWD with a 18in wheel sport suspension pkg. 38mpg hwy, regular fuel, and is quicker than the numbers reflect ( 201hp/221 torque)....Why? because it also has a new mild hybrid 48 volt battery system which contributes to the acceleration/power. ( this adds 12hp and 37 lb ft of torque upon acceleration for short bursts.....and which is not mentioned in this review). I am looking for a more practical replacement for my 2018 Audi TT Quattro.... I am now retired and in NC and don't feel the need for Quattro. I am also considering a 23 BMW 2 series RWD 2 door w/M Sport pkg, 23 Mercedes CLA250 FWD w/ AMG line sport pkg , and a new MK8 VW GTI.....

Having driven the 2022 European A3 hatchback I am bitterly disappointed in the new A3. Consider No electric leather seat option. The 150 bhp petrol engine, not a patch on my 2017 model. The interior on the new model is awful. It is filled with with sharp cheap and nasty plastic. The rear suspension on the new model uses the torsion bar. The out going model has more power and the independent suspension is first rate , the interior of my 2017 model has sumptuous leather electric heated power operated seats. Sorry Audi after owning three Audi A3 the 2017 model is superb, the power comes on like cream. The B&O sound system is totally amazing.
