Something to bear in mind. Alpina is actually registered as a car manufacturer. Your VIN # will be an Alpina vin number. You now own an Alpina not a BMW. They don't modify BMW's actually. They build Alpinas. If you don't care one way or another, buy one. I mean, how much does one man need?

That launch has to probably be 0-60 mph in 3 seconds, which is nuts~ But knowing BMW, they're probably underrating that to maybe 2.75-2.8 seconds for sure, which is even more nuts. I mean 612 HP (probably maybe over 620 HP because of BMW's conservative nature) from that iconic 4.4L V8 from the M5, M5 Competition, M5 CS, X5M Competition, X6M Competition, is just mindblowing, and a beast of an engine. I mean BMW are just masters of their craft in terms of precision German engineering.

The door hinges on all G-series BMWs are truly cheap and the doors themselves lack the quality thunk you'd expect from an upper-class premium vehicle. On my 3 Series, the hinge has got three positions that the door stops at, and it makes a very audible clunk when it gets into one of the fixed positions. The last two generations of the 3 Series did not do that.
