Pretty insane Whaler pricing for big center consoles. A 40’ Sport Fish for or Grand Banks for half price or less is looking pretty good. Yes diff use case but still….

So after doing the transom, did you not find any soft deck, I've not seen a quick fix for the soft deck other then pulling the plywood out. Don't be shy when speaking about the boston whaler poor thinking. Like the stern light. I couldn't help but see your set up. You can buy a 72" and cut to size, stainless tubing on, you know Amazon then pull the led lam p off the shorty add some wire . I've just finish mine, well almost.

I was lucky the entire deck on this 15 is rock solid. (My old 17 Montauk did have a couple soft spots). My shorty stern light is only there for emergency.. I won’t be doing any boating at night on it. There is a joint, It folds down out of the way. I wanted it extra short so not to interfere with fishing. Those tall stern lights get in the way.

You can get well equipped 23 foot deep v boats for less than the price of that 21 montauk. Insane what BW thinks their boats are worth. Trading on a name that may have meant something 30yrs ago but now is just to lure first time buyers.

I’ve had great luck with my v6 Mercury 200’s. The Suzuki’s were heavier and in-line 4’s..

$200k+ for a 25 foot CC does seem pretty ridiculous. Can’t imagine there being much of a market for that.. Plenty of mid tier boat brands for half that price that’ll get you to the canyons relatively comfortably. Boston whalers seem pretty steep! Guess people are buying them.. I sure wouldn’t at that $$$$$. Much rather have a Contender, Regulator, or Southport for that kind of money. Can’t believe the salesmen don’t even know their own boats! Definitely see boat prices cooling, but not dropping too significantly. There are way more millionaires today then ever, definitely more than last recession 2008-2009. Always enjoy your vids- unfortunately I could never get out offshore this year due to work or weather. Thanks for sharing!
