Thank you for the review. I just purchased one built 8/23 so hopefully they have fixed the transmission issue. Wife loves it and so do I always trying to use only ev mode when able.

@@JoshsSmartHome does this transmission have a dip stick? I came from a caravan so I’m looking for it. I don’t believe in lifetime fluids so I’ll be looking to drain and fill it in the near future.

I honestly don’t know. One of my best friends is a top mechanic around here, so he handles our vehicles. I may not end up having it too many years if a nice EV van is produced by somebody, haha.

@@JoshsSmartHome have you experienced any issues? I’m considering buying the hybrid but I’m concerned about some pretty bad things I read online forums and what not. About the van shutting off while driving down the highway, Chrysler transmission issues, issues with the electronics in the van like the main screen, and the video screens in the back. Etc.

We had an issue with the transmission and it did shutoff on the highway. They replaced the whole transmission under warranty. We did receive a letter before that which extended the warranty to 10 years unlimited miles so they know there is/was an issue. We haven’t had any issues in the year since the transmission was replaced. With how great the rest of it is, I have no issue with the transmission being a known issue that will be replaced under warranty for the next 8 years, by that time we will probably have a different vehicle.

@@JoshsSmartHome did you have to buy the warranty separately? Or was that covered under the 5year/60,000? Cause the 10yr/100,000 is just for the electric motors and the battery pack right? That’s the federal mandate I think.

It was no cost. An automatic extension of the warranty, I’m guessing because they knew they were defective and they didn’t want to get sued. I’m sure you can Google to see which years/models that was done for.
