9:46 is there any possibility to fry the hdmi by powering the monitor and the camera from the same v-mount battery?
@zackingproductions Жыл бұрын
I've never had it happen to me, that being said, it could happen 🤷♂
@joaomestre2584 Жыл бұрын
@@zackingproductions do you have any order for powering the devices?

I always wanted to hear about video transmission. I hear terrible things about teradek but yet it’s industry standard. Do you have any input on your experience with teradek?
@zackingproductions Жыл бұрын
I've never used a Teradek. I use CineEye's as a client monitor and it has been great

Have you had any issues so far with ghost recording/switching on. Mine has switched on once during travel, arrived at the shoot with a half drained v-mount.

Nah no ghost recording yet!

Once you use the start / stop recording cable, can you still power the handle by dtap?
@zackingproductions Жыл бұрын
Yeah, you plug the D Tap cable into the handle and run the start/stop from the focus motor into the camera.
@mjscpr Жыл бұрын
@@zackingproductions apologies, to clarify: can you both power the handle and the motor off of d-tap and use the start stop cable? I run the handle into the motor (I use one for focus), the handle-cable goes into one of the two available ports, the other port connects to d-tap. Do you suggest to invididually connect the motor and handle to d-tap and use the remaining port on the motor to connect to the camera (start/stop)? This way you connect the handle and motor wirelessly?
@zackingproductions Жыл бұрын
@@mjscpr Yeah that is exactly what I do. The handle and motor operate wirelessly.

I also have the 12K with similar "accessories". Question, do you follow the rule of powering everything up first and then connecting the SDI cables to prevent the SDI port from being "fried"? Or do you have some information that the 12K doesn't suffer from that issue. I've asked Blackmagic Design but they have not responded to my email.
@zackingproductions Жыл бұрын
No I don't follow that rule
@Calvindaydop10 ай бұрын
You should stick to that rule. It’s good practice and I don’t believe any modern camera avoids this issue

Well he said he's on his second monitor...that's probably why. Just unhook the sdi, power up. Then plugin everything 😊

Where's your 15 mm lower lens support rods mate ? That's too much weight on your camera's lens mount flange !! 😳Over time you may notice your back focus and edge to edge frame image evenness begin to shift ?? 👀 Other than slowly destroying your camera's lens mount, you have a nice rig. 👍

These 2 FAT V Mount Batteries will kill all the nice feeling and handling of the URSA when you push it against your body handheld with just a normal V-Mount Battery behind.
