I have the old and new exist. The new one is heaps better. I use my mostly in saltwater. From ocean blackfish, fluke, stripers, etc. definitely too much money for it’s own good but i have a collection from all the Exist just so had to get the new one. Been fishing with it since this spring and hasn’t let me down yet on big fish!

Hi. Thanks for the open box review. It sounds like it finally have that Shimano bail clicking sound now right? I have still the older 18 Stella, 18 Exist LT, and 19 Certate LT brand new in boxes. Just waiting until I move to the Midwest. I was going to get the 22 Exist LT 3000 too but I feel like it won't be too much different when it comes from refinements.
@TheSisavath2 жыл бұрын
Imo the improvements is mostly looks. The only thing I notice so far is that the line does not get caught under the rotor so far.
@DrJanLindberg2 жыл бұрын
@@TheSisavath There are a number of other little improvements, including the drag, super smooth even stronger gears and balance, but the 18 Exist is superb as well. New are also the PC versions with even larger main gears.

Hey brother Ty for the review I have the exact same reel and I’m having problems trying to figure out what rod to use I wanted to know what rod u have it paired with to help me make a proper rod decision
@TheSisavath2 жыл бұрын
Depending on what I am fishing for. When I fish for white bass I have it paired with medium 7’ conquest and when I fish for crappie and walleye I have it paired with nrx+ 7’6”. Both works well. Also works great on kistler zbone 7’ medium or ML

daiwa failed with bearing or grease in the new 22 exist - strange noise at 6:04 while rotating... any other notice it?

Hello, Do you think there is a difference in body size between this model PC LT 2500 and the normal 2500? What do you think, is it more like size 3000 from the 2018 Exist model or less? Thank you!
@Henry-xh8ec2 жыл бұрын
I agree, if you have the old new, there's no need to get the new one. Unless you're a tackle junkie and just like to try new gear. There's not enough difference in the two reels. They feel about the same and weigh about the same. Plus, other than the shiny finish the new model is kind of plain looking. I agree with you about the part under the rotor. I've had my line stuck under there and its a pain to try to get the line back out without cutting it. Why dont you get a new handle for your old exist. I put the handle from the procyon LT/carbonite 2.0 on some of mine. Slightly heavier but a good color match. And way cheaper than the original exist handle, which is way over priced from daiwa.
@TheSisavath2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Glad I wasn’t the only person getting the line stuck. I been bc testing the luvias airity. It has the same handle as the exist. I figure I just swap them out after final testing on the luvias
@Henry-xh8ec2 жыл бұрын
@@TheSisavath Of course you know the Luvius airity and 18 exist are pretty much the same reel. Both are awesome but the Luvius airity does look a little better. I purchased some Carbonlite 2.0 handles from bass pro shops for around $30 and use them on the Exist because they match and were slightly longer than what came on the 2000 size exist.
@raymondjohnson64962 жыл бұрын
daiwa luvias Airity LT look ten times better than the new exist plus it cheaper that’s sad $899 looks like crap daiwa luvias Airity LT cost what $375 plus the shimano Stella I like the Stella 18 not the new what’s wrong with these companies wake up man 😭😭😭

I just got the new Shimano Exsense and damn that thing cast like a dream and smooth as fuck. I like it better than my Stella FJ. I am waiting to get the 3000 Exist. Or maybe spoil myself and get the 5000 model for Jetty/ Salmon fishing.

Yeah I though the Exsence was as good as the Stella. You might be disappointed on the new exist. I like it so far but imo it’s not that much better then the 2019. Although I like the look. But if you are a gear head like me it’s nice to have.
