A stunning trek in the Himalayas in west-central Nepal to Dhaulagiri Base Camp. Dhaulagiri is the world's 7th highest mountain at 8167m / 26,795ft.
This is one of the treks we completed for Project Base8000. Our goal is to trek to the base camps of all the world's 14 highest mountains over 8000m.
You can read our blogpost on this trek at our website www.cutlunchadventures.com/ne...

About Us:
Hi, we are Trevor and Emma, avid high altitude adventurers based in Sydney, Australia. When not at home, we’re often found on an expedition somewhere in the Himalayas. Expeditions that come with both altitude and attitude!
After being on many expeditions exploring the world, the question was ‘what’s next’? Needing a new challenge and focus, we formed ProjectBase8000. The objective is to trek to all the base camps of the world’s 14 highest mountains over 8,000m. These mountains are located in the Himalayan and Karakoram ranges - Nepal, Pakistan and Tibet, China.

Oh cool! Did this myself with one guide, two porters and minimal provisions in late November 2018. We saw no other parties the entire time, just locals until Italian Base Camp. Extraordinary trek.

Can you tell me how much it cost to foreigner and locals?
@projectbase8000
@projectbase8000 2 жыл бұрын
The cost of a trek depends on the level of service you want. You can join a group trek or hire a local guide and porters just for yourself. You can also choose foreign or local trekking companies. Costs can vary from USD2000-3500+ for this 18 day trek

Love that you just trek. The braggarts who pay Sherpas to get them to the summits often ending with their deaths so the braggart’s can be safer make me angry. “The worlds highest rubbing dump” as a Everest is known as, is in a shocking state. Now the same braggart’s are littering and polluting K2. Why can’t these ghouls who claim to be mountain lovers be content with trekking? Pictures of the queues on Everest make most people angry. Human waste doesn’t decompose at altitude either so the high camps stink and are covered in shit. It’s disgusting. Just so the braggarts can boast about walking up Everest.

Thanks for your comment. Yes the mountains are busy places these days. Even with trekking we need to take care not to litter.
