Considering the M5 is brand new, it didn't really beat the other two by much. Heck I'd even think a GT63s would beat the M5 (None E Perf) - Such a miss the new M5 is, too heavy, ugly, marginally quicker than the outgoing M5. F90 Was so good I dunno why anyone would even bother getting the fat boat.

I hope car manufacturers ditch the horsepower race and focus on ways to reduce weight, so that we won't have to worry about understeer, premature tire wear and smaller brakes for same stopping performance, manufacturers would love the latter because it allows them to cut costs

I am a BMW Fanboi...love BMW and have for decades. Had my name on the touring M5 before they announce it coming to the USA. Owned two F10's and a E60, and currently drive the M8C. I sat in the new M5 last night and hated everything about it. It is not engaging to me at all. I have no desire to own the new M5, and it saddens me. I have lusted after an M5 Touring since first seeing one decades ago and thought my dreams were finally going to be a reality. Unfortunately, BMW design let me down. Lots of changes need to be made to the 5-series to bring me back to the fold. Until then, I will just keep my M8 and be happy.
