Nice driving David, I'm sure you surprised many ! Not everyday an Elantra fills up the rear mirrors on regular track cars ! HA! Well done !

I CANNOT wait to take my EN DCT to the track! I also have a FBO tuned ES (Elantra Sport) that I also want to track!

TNIA events are not competitions, grid is not in any order and people often pull off to get some pointers. Its all about having fun and learning the track. My times were decent for a NooB in a new car I suppose.

At 4:40 I can hear the forward collision warning go off. There is a setting to turn that off while in N mode specifically. Unless you really want it on..😅

How? It's really annoying.
@noodles93452 жыл бұрын
@@TrueSake I believe when you go to the N mode menu on the center screen. Scroll to the right and under the G meter there is a performance options button. In that menu there should be a checkbox for "disable safety warnings in N mode" or something like that. So the foward collision, lane keep, etc will automatically turn off. Foward collision stays off until you change drive modes or deselect the box. *EDIT* Okay I went out to the car and checked and thats all wrong lol. In the setup menu you hit the "Vehicle" option and its right at the top under "Driver Assistance". Check the box that says "Driving Safety Auto Off in N mode".

@@noodles9345 if it's anything like the veloster n then just put esc in most aggressive setting and it disables collision safety.

Yeah, I thought I had everything off. I did turn it all off on my next event, but some warnings still got through.

you need to get a rear camera, to see who's following you and if they can keep up on corners/turns.
@dtelschneider0072 жыл бұрын
I could do that, but generally speaking, I am pulling away from people or they close REALLY fast and go right by LOL.

Great video! Is this track north of pittsburgh? How did the brakes hold up and how bad was the tire wear?
@dtelschneider0072 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is Pitt Race just North of Pittsburgh. A great track with great facilities. Brakes were 100% stock and worked flawlessly, no fade at all and that is saying something at Pitt Race which can be tough on brakes. The OEM Pilot Sports held up great, no noticeable wear on the shoulders. I started at about 40 PSI cold and maintained about 45 psi at track temps.
