Got my Wildtrak in March ‘22 (ordered hour 2) … Lux / Leather / Hardtop / Etc … just hit 5k and have loved every mile. Absolutely zero complaints … happened to have a Gladiator Mojave reseal for a week in MM right before taking delivery - the driving difference and performance is huge … the Bronco WT is just a great vehicle for us - doors and roof off with ease - loving the B&O - getting 19mpg - comfy and handles great. Perfect on the back roads. Etc. Etc.

For the 22 model year, the Hoss 3.0 package can be added. This adds front and rear steel bumpers, rear sway bar, beefier tie rods, sever duty steering rack from the bronco raptor, steel bash plates, and fox 2.5 shocks. Not too bad for $2500

Another great review, Jake. Maybe the Bronco has inspired Jeep to make some future improvements. Catastrophic engine failures are being reported on 2021 Broncos with the 2.7L engine, possibly defective valves within a certain VIN range. NHTSA has opened an investigation and I believe they have reports of 32 engine failures. I read one report where owners were told it could take 3 months to obtain a replacement engine. Keep up the great content.

Thanks, Bill! We've been following the 2.7L issues and it seems constrained to a certain VIN range as you said. Hopefully Ford will take care of those customers in a timely manner and the vast majority of 2.7s are as reliable as they've historically been in the F-150.

2 door wildtrack handles so good it’s really a dream to drive on and off road not really in to rock crawling so wildtrack is perfect

Wildtrak comes standard with larger engine, automatic transmission, and sasquatch package. Add these to any other trim and you get the same performance; add to Badlands and you also get staybar disco. It also comes standard with Mid package equipment, available on all trims except base. The only thing that has the potential to make this trim something other than redundant is available Fox shoicks, replacing Bilstein, available on the 2022 model year (which is already closed). So far only Ben Hardy has reviewed it on youtube as far as I can tell.
@mechmat123452 жыл бұрын
Just to clarify, the Wildtrak is the only trim with Baja and Sport mode. Badlands has Baja and Rock Crawl but no Sport mode. Black Diamond has Rock Crawl and Sport but no Baja. No other trims (excluding First Edition) have Rock Crawl or Baja modes.

Finally!! It took Ford a while to get production ramped up but it seems like they're cranking them out faster and faster now. Hopefully yours shows up on time.

if i air down a bit do you think the sidwall of these 35" tires will withstand me hitting the curb in the starbucks drive-thru? also wondering if the 4wd is going to be safe enough for me to drive when it rains
@alexs31872 жыл бұрын
You would want one that has the 4 Auto mode for wet pavement. Not all of them have it, but all the Sasquatch ones do.

Great review! That red is also so good looking. My dad loves his WildTrak too. It definitely drives more like a truck on the road but not necessarily in a bad way like the wrangler

Isn't a badlands Sasquatch more of a Rubicon competitor?
@EvolvedTactical2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is. Wildtrack is more of a Baja inspired off rroad. Badlands with Sasquatch is functionally better than Rubicon in every area.
@OutMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
It is - though the Wildtrak is not far off, Jeep doesn't have a direct 1:1 competitor which is why we just said Rubicon in the thumbnail.
@j.l.59662 жыл бұрын
The closest in the jeep family to the Wildtrak would be the Gladiator Mojave, which is their baja desert runner.
@texasbradley Жыл бұрын
The badlands is the direct competitor to the Rubicon, not the wildtrack... 😮

I liked the review-very informative as usual; however the off-road portion of the review seemed rushed.

Amazing how so many guys and gals out there are spending "time" with various MULTIPLE Broncos, yet the rest of us who have ordered and paid for our Broncos can't get our hands on squat!...😂
@OutMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
To be fair, this Wildtrak is one of two Broncos available for a toooon of media to all share. Ford (and all manufacturers) pull a relatively small number of vehicles to be used as media loaners. Definitely frustrating to wait though. We have a few friends who have taken delivery of theirs, hopefully yours is coming soon!

ugh even my g-wagen has 3 locking diffs does this not have a front locking diff what is this.... base spec?
@evanimdorf53802 жыл бұрын
And I can buy 2 Broncos like this for the price of 1 G_Wagon. This Bronco has locking front and rear diffs.
@alexs31872 жыл бұрын
I see confusion about the third differential a lot. Ford and Jeep don’t use center differentials. They are useless for off-road. If you don’t have a center diff, you therefore would have no need to “lock” it. It’s basically there to give a 4x4 an AWD set up for on-road driving. Then you would lock the center diff for off-road. The Bronco has a 4 auto option for on road. Does the same thing, just does it all in the transfer case.
@alexs31872 жыл бұрын
and yes, the Wildtrak has front and rear diff locks.

While I like the bronco, I’d say it’s more comp for the Jeep Mojave than the Rubicon.

Not a fan of corners?? You need to drive a lifted suburban on 37 and then you'll know what it means not to be able to take corners or to go 90 mph. The Bronco drives great. It takes corners just fine.
@OutMotorsports2 жыл бұрын
That Suburban sounds properly terrifying through an off-ramp if you're used to anything smaller :-) The Bronco drives remarkably well *for what it is* but the 37s and lift make it corner worse than the non-Wildtrak models. Steering and handling are markedly better than Wrangler though.
@a365382 жыл бұрын
As a ‘22 Bronco owner - you really don’t know anything about this truck. Hoss 3.0 is a big deal for the ‘22 wildtrak , attributing Sasquatch perks to the wildtrak trim is incorrect. A base Bronco with Sasquatch will have the same ground clearance, and you quoted the geometry with the modular HD bumper. 🤦🏻♂️
