The OBD2 port is no help for diagnosing problems. You have to use the diagnostic port under the hood. The round thing. I have a '97 SL600 and found out that you need Star Diagnostic equipment or an aftermarket alternative.

I bought a 2025 Nautilus Reserve 3 hybrid but no jet appearance package. I regularly make 6 hour drives and the quietness and Bluecruise were deciding factors. I also tested the Lexus RX 350h and it felt like a fancier Toyota, not really the luxury experience the Lincoln gives. I also looked at the BMW X3 and VW Atlas Cross Sport and both felt cheap by comparison. I love my Lincoln and recommend it if it fits your needs.

Hey Jake! I normally agree with you on most of your opinions and views-however I gotta split on your point about the third row. I had similar underfloor storage to the 70 in my 3rd gen Rav4, and I used the crap out of it. It allowed me to keep chains, an actually usable jack, tools, jumper cables, ice scraper, fire extinguisher, oil/coolant, safety kit, and a myriad other things in the vehicle at all times without them interfering with my day to day access and use of the rear cargo area (a gay can never be too prepared, after growing up with shitboxes lol). This meant that loading up the dogs was a snap, and making runs to Costco/the store was a breeze as I didnt need to re-arrange the cargo area for every use case. Conversely, I now own a 5th gen 4runner with the 3rd row for dog/family duty (upgrade!) and find myself really missing that underfloor storage in the rear. Now I have to keep everything stowed up top in the roofbox which is fine, but it limits some parking ability in town and drags down my already abysmal mileage 😅. I have used the third row in my 4runner maybe 3 times since I bought it a year ago and find myself wishing for the lower load floor of the 2 row model. So, I feel if I was cross shopping the 70/90, I would def go for the 70 for the above reasons. I do agree with you though that it is a bit absurd to be charging near the same amount for a model with arguably less versatility. Very Porsche of them. 😂 As always though, thanks for the great content. I really enjoy the space youre making in the car community 🥰

This came up in my YT (on ROKU) because I watch LOTS of Lincoln content. On Reddit, there have been sooo many posts about how long people have been waiting on their Nautilus in service shops. Ever since the 2023 models… it’s common for people to buy a Nautilus and own it for a few days until it ends up in the shop. Many comments were about how their Nautilus spent more time in the shop since buying it than in their own garage. But there’s good news… a Lincoln dealer association told Lincoln they need SEDANS. I bet they bring that Zephyr over here they are selling only in Asia. Lincoln loyalists want an elegant automobile, not what has been on offer after 2020.

A Prius CVT (continuously variable tranny) is nothing like the usual belt jobs that fail so often. It's simply a differential (two inputs-->one output). One input comes from the gas motor, the other from the electric motor. The 'combination' of the two inputs (and either can vary speed) gives you a continuous range of outputs. It's all gears--no belts, so it's bullet-proof.

As a teenager in the 80s I bought a '73 Capri with a smashed rear quarterpanel. Paid $450 for it and got a bank loan to do it. It was only the 4-cyl 2000 cc version but one of its prior owners' hobbies was racing Capris on a dirt track. He did a high-performance conversion on it by boring out the cylinder heads and replacing with larger cylinders, twin Webur carbs, and dual headers. I'm not sure what the final specs were, but it could do a mild burnout, and I'm glad I lived to report its top speed at 130 MPH. Had to slow down because the temp gauge was very quickly rising into the red. Sure didn't want to blow the engine. The rack & pinion steering eventually went bad. That's what sent it to the salvage yard to be parted out. Very fun car to drive.

I will die on a hill fighting for headlights on the infotainment. I've owned a tesla and they were more than adequate. 99.5% of the time they're on auto. As long as I have access to high beams thru the blinker lever, I'm happy.

I am a single guy with no kids, but I have a large dog. Bought my cx70 three months ago, and it is absolutely perfect. The cargo space without the third row gives me so much flexibility when traveling with the dog - so much so that I can comfortably fit all kinds of luggage plus a large dog bed in the back. The third row folding of the cx90 was not conducive at to having a pet in the cargo area because there are tons of crevices in the cargo space of the 90 even with the seats folded. So, maybe there aren’t a lot of guys like me, but the 70 is perfect for me 😎

The difference between the V/XC60 T8 vs Polestar isn't as large in the SPA era cars vs the P3 Generation. The SPA PE does decimate the P3 PE all the way with its horsepower number. There is no doubt. But the P3 T6 RDesign was 325hp vs 345hp, the better suspension, and brakes and the sexier looks. The software difference between the modern PE isn't much more than the T8 in the SPA. But, because the V60 is either Cross Country or Polestar. So when I do replace my 2016 V60 with the new one, I'll go Polestar to avoid the Cross Country variant. That said, I might go a lightly used V90 T8 instead. When we replace my wife's, it will be the XC60 T8 because in the SUV guise the PE model isn't worth it over the T8. It will be a shame to give up my P3 V60 because while I love the glamorous look of the new SPA's, the P3 were like a little sporty bulldog in my eyes. And I'm going to miss the sport styling.
@kordaxmint53311 күн бұрын
SPA platform is simply softer and better as a ride, P3 is not even close. Also Volvo sucks and BMW is simply better in most aspects (not all of course).
@Staatus_Quo11 күн бұрын
@kordaxmint533 the SPA is 100% more lux than the P3. But the P3 is much more akin to my SAAB 9⁵ Aero Sportcombi and I love that. The RDesign suspension even outdoes my 9⁵ on Bilstein B8's. So that's why it's going to be somewhat sad when I update to the SPA. To address your jab, lol. I love any Euro wagon and had a 535xi Touring. I loved that wagon to death, but even doing all the maintenance and loving that car... It was a nightmare to keep her running. The P3 while I know isn't a beloved platform by Volvo enthusiasts has been wonderful for me. It's the closest thing I've had to my 9⁵ Sportcombi. I have to say, I'm tempted by both the Audi and BMW mega wagons now that BMW is bringing the 5 Series Touring back to The States... But those prices are eye watering, and my wife just might have to smother me in my sleep if I went for a new one. 😅

My choice would be the T8 Ultra for the air suspension and massage seat option. If I was going to get a Polestar I’d get the V60.

Hope Acura is listening. -5th gen Aspec Tech (especially for the price) should have been like the 3rd gen Integra GSR. They missed that opportunity. Should have been more powerful (at least 228hp and 238-258ft tq) than all the other models before it and even better handling too. Acura is a sport luxury brand but they forgot the sport this gen for non type S. Things the Aspec Tech should have came with: -Red stitching for the black interior option. -Michelin Pilot Sport a/s tires -Throwback functional strut bars (front and rear with the rear being removable for storage sakes. Maybe a strong 3 piece design) -Side skirts and aggressive rear diffuser(the ones you try to upsell us on) -A rear windshield wiper (all those fancy safety features but you missed the most basic one here) -Thicker swaybars -Customizable ambient lighting with a lightbar across the dash and 2 more for the rear doors (if not multiple colors, at least make them turn blue for comfort, white for normal and red for Sport) -Rear air vents (The trunk is literally part of the cabin) -The trunk cover should have been retractable in case you have tall items. Foldable side mirrors and ventilated seats would be a bonus. The price was too high for what we got. Love the brand though. You can do better.

To be fair the Elantra also has an N-line trim and I'd definitely not consider it even close to a performance car. It's like saying Honda only puts sport badges on cars when they mean it, but the civic sport is completely gutless.

Also Toyota says you should place no more than 130lbs in the cargo area. So imagine you have a generator that you take on camping trips. Those things easily weigh over 100lbs by themselves.

This weight rating is only referring to the small cover on top of the compartment just inside of the back entrance. If you are carrying something heavy, just push it in a foot farther and you should be good to go.
