My biggest piece of advice to anyone looking to get into a Bronco is that if you want to save some money, and don’t plan on doing serious wheeling or off-roading, get a base with no lockers and mod it up to your hearts delight. My base, lifted, with 35’s did every major pass in the San Juan Mtns of Colorado with NO issues. 4LO, air down and crawl control is all you need in most situations. My biggest negative is just how cheap the interior feels. I came from a GX that was so solid in so many ways. I’m going on 1 year ownership and nearly sold my Bronco for an LX. But I’m going to hold on for a little longer.

Mods, diode dynamics pocket lights. Arb on board dual air compressor. Bullet mounting solutions dash mount. Midland GMRS radio. Dash cam front and rear by THINKWARE from ford. An oil catch can. And some other small silly things. Para cord grab handles and the such. I have 11,000 miles on it and absolutely love the truck. Only problem I had was panel alignment from the factory. And as you stated I haven’t had to use 4x4 when off road all but a few times. It is a beast both on and off road. I love it. I am a ford person so maybe I’m biased.

I test drove one recently. It's a cool vehicle but i feel like once the novelty wears off and you're stuck with the payments and driving it every day it gets old fast. Wranglers are the same way. I'd advise anyone seriously looking for either to wait for a good deal on a used one and keep it as a weekend driver. This will definitely benefit anyone who wants really offroad it.

@gregaloisi6062 Жыл бұрын
My only problem with this type of vehicle is the price. Yes you can get cheaper trim levels but the fact that even the higher trim levels are 60 k plus is crazy to me. I have an outer banks Sasquatch on order that has a build date in less then a month. I test drove a wildtrak and thought it was cool but I thought it wasn't 65k cool because everything is just basic to me. My build comes right at 60K and I'm 25 and make decent money but I just picked up a second job just so I can save another 10-15 grand in the next 6 month just so I can put a decent down payment on it and still feel comfortable. I'm still not 100% sold that I'm going to get it just because of the payment I will have, even with 20% down l'm looking at over $800 just for the payment depending on the interest rate. If the higher end Broncos were about 20K less then it's a no brainer I think 40K for that type of car is reasonable. That goes for jeeps, Tacoma's, ETC.The price for cars nowadays is insane and it sucks for me in my 20s who would love to have a nice car but had to pay the price for it. I make about 60 to 70 a year. Any advice is appreciated.
@chiefenumclaw7960 Жыл бұрын
As someone with a finance background. Don't do it. Especially if you have to finance a large portion of it with today's high interest rates. If you have to take a 2nd job to make your payments, you will grow to despise the vehicle. Because instead of going off-roading, you're stuck at work. At that point you don't own the vehicle, the vehicle owns you. Good news: rates will come down within the next 24 months. Vehicle prices will come down (currently everybody has too much Gov't $$$ from Covid stimulus which is why cars are so expensive. Once this money runs out things will get more reasonable.) Put your down payment into a 5-6% CD and comeback in 2 years for your Bronco.
@gregaloisi6062 Жыл бұрын
@@chiefenumclaw7960 thanks for the reply. The second job isn’t for the payment it’s just to save another 10-15k. I have 22k In the bank and by the end of summer with a bonus I’m getting I’ll have about 28k and my reasoning to save that much more is so I can put a decent down payment and still have like a 6 month to a year emergency fund for whatever. When housing goes down I want to buy a place possibly a duplex so I can rent out the other side. So once the Bronco came in I would quit the second job. Perhaps he liked the look of the Bronco Raptor that comes with 37s from the factory so he added a lift & 37s to his. It's the best of both worlds really. Now he has the narrower fenders & fender flares of the Bronco but the additional height, ground clearance, & the 37s like the Raptor.

Like the look and also really like the “squish” when riding off-road and deflating them. It reallllly helps with some of the rocky trails in the sierras

I think the broncos are awesome! I had a 93 bronco back in high school. I’ll eventually get myself one, once the ol wife’s highlander is paid off

Rear Bronco windows already have factory tint, correct. Was it necessary to add the ceramic tint on those back windows?
@tuesdaysimmons9261 Жыл бұрын
105 degree days and prickly sun, you’ll want the heat protection the ceramic provides. It reflects heat very well!

Great looking rig! Ive been following your build. But i dont think you mentioned the details of your lift. Brand, size, type? As far as i can tell a perch collar lift is the only type available for my 23 Wildtrak so im interested to know about yours. Keep up the great content. Cheers 🤟😎

Thank you man! It’s the Icon 3” pick style lift with the factory bilsteins. Pretty easy install! Documented it with it’s own video on the channel too! 🤙🏼

I'm so tempted to trade in my 2019 F150 Lariat for a new Bronco! Great review!

Cna you make a series of KZbin Shorts of the immediate modifications you would make to different models? I.E. First 5 Affordable F150 upgrades you would make?

I have some knowledge about the F150 platforms, but I don't actually own one... maybe I can find someone local? It's a good idea though!

The video is more about modifying the vehicle than the experience with it after the first year. I’m considering a Bronco as my next vehicle and this video doesn’t help me decide whether or not it’s worth buying.

Jacob, good looking set up. I added the Hooke Road rack. I see you have an attachment on the front lower for wind. Where did you pick that up? Trying to cut some noise from mine. Thanks

Why do you guys with lots of money to modify, not buy a second pair of road tires?
@OutbackExotics6 ай бұрын
I think it’s bc they can always buy another set of off-road tires and bc they don’t want to keep taking them on and off

I’m 6’1/6’2”, when I sat in a bronco, I felt the windshield was short. Another words if I was first at a stoplight, I’d have to lean forward to see if the light had changed. What has been your experience?

I'm 5'10" and noticed something similar just yesterday. I'm going to try lowering my seat and playing around with the recliner setting to see if it makes a difference.
@JacobRDoty Жыл бұрын
Hmm I actually tested that the other day just by moving my seat around. I noticed I wasn’t really affected but my body can be “unique” haha. I have really long legs and a shorter torso so maybe I actually sit lower than most 6’1” guys?

Guy I work with just picked up a new one last week. Traded in his 2021 explorer st, big mistake I think because his new bronco is just plain ugly. Plus he went from $800. A month to $1000 a month. And the explorer st was a bad ass vehicle could easily keep up with my gt. I'm glad you like it...
@JacobRDoty Жыл бұрын
Yeah depends on personal finances and use case. I don’t care about being fast in my Bronco. I’m very fortunate to have a separate purpose-built car for that. If you’re only able to have one vehicle to rule them all, just depends on what’s most important
@Mustangg16 Жыл бұрын
@JacobRDoty not me I have my mustang and have 2 other older 4wd vehicles for fun
@JacobRDoty Жыл бұрын
@@Mustangg16 I agree - have a few dedicated vehicles if you're fortunate enough to. I wouldn't want an F250 diesel to commute to SF in (wouldn't go to SF anyway lol), but it could do it. Just gotta find the best collection that hits all your uses!
