What is so strange about it? I had a 2015 lariat extended cab with a 2.7. I replaced it with a 2018 STX 4x4 with a 5 liter super cab. Long live the super cab!!!

Exactly. Not one of Ben's better reviews. Shows that he has never done any actual real work. Also, Ford does not make a 6'4" bed. There bed is 78.9" long, and has been for a very long time. As a long time owner of trucks, this was painful to watch.

@@kirkraszman7998 I was thinking there's nothing unusual for a column Shifter, its more unusual for a Console mounted shifter. My 19' XLT has a column shift and I love it, gives me more room in the console area.

@@WSmith-ne5ks I can't for the life of me figure out the whole console shift thing. It's like it came out of nowhere a few years ago and now everyone thinks that's how it has to be. That console space is valuable real estate, for your phone, wallet, coffee etc... and the shifter is right in the middle of it.

I would never order a super cab for our company. Terrible for space wise. Might as well get a crew cab for the crew. Wouldn’t ever get a lariat or above for workers. Usually a slot with some basic features. Would never do a bucket seat either.

@@kirkraszman7998 That's not exactly fair. I prefer the SuperCab (double cab, extra cab, etc) because I need the longer bed but others prefer the crew cab for people and/or more interior storage. Just depends on your needs. You can get a crew cab with the longer bed but the wheelbase is really long and harder to maneuver. The SuperCab is the best compromise for me.

Tbh actually not that weird of a truck at all. Everyone's so used to crew cabs they forget extended cabs exist. And I'm pretty sure on XLTs and Lariats, the 2.7 is actually one of the most(if not the most) common motor.

The lighter brown is much cooler during the Summer compared to black. Also prefer the column shifter with front bench seat. It's a lot roomier for your feet compared to a console.

I have a F350 Lariat supercab. I don't need the back seats for passengers, but they are handy for storage. I wanted the shorter wheelbase.

What's so weird about a Lariat Super Cab. My dog fits just fine in the back seat and the fur doesn't stick to Leather seats :-) Wheelbase is shorter so it still fits in my garage and isn't a pain to park in tight parking places......

2.7Ls are very common by me on the Ford lots, its much harder to find a 5.0 or 3.5.

I owed a Supercab 2020 2.7 Ecoboost and it was great for my wife and I. Had an XLT and loved the 6.4 foot bed. Less stuff to break and was a solid truck for a year.

Ford doesn't make a 6.4 foot bed they make the 6'6" bed aka 6½ foot bed

I’m on my second super cab 8ft f150. Pretty much a real truck. Plywood and drywall fit right in and out of the elements with a camper shell. This is not soccer mom mobile.

I got lariat with 2.7 I got it saves gas and it’s fast more then 5.0 v8 I had and handles payload and towing great no need for the 3.5 for extra cash they take u for I got nice color grey and crewcab 4 door has shift in middle and all stuff the 67gs I got it for 56 gs plus lic tax etc so a little more then that has all bells and whistles most would need I got lucky I think finding this one 👍🏻2021 has 30,000 miles running like a champ

I have a 2016 Lariat Supercab, white with grey leather interior, with 2.7L. Beautiful truck and everybody comments on how nice it looks. Bummed that it will no longer be available in '23.

Author is clearly biased against it. It is good to have options. Unfortunately most just follow the crowd. Ford is the last company to over this configuration and I hope they continue.

Only hard workers drives supercab they need 6 ft of bed to put tool boxes. Driving a truck without a toolbox or with a tool box on a 5feet bed and end up with 3.5 of space is weird…

I've owned a '15 F150 SCAB (supercab) for 7 years. To anyone out there...just get the SCREW (supercrew). If you need the longer bed, you can get a SCREW with a 6.5 foot bed. Looks weird, but they are out there. The Lariat with no rear AC vents..👎. My XLT has those and my grandkids appreciate it!

It has a column shifter because it''s a bench seat. How is that anything other than normal? If you have a bench seat, you have a column shifter. Par for the course. Only thing weird is this review. Old man spec? No, but definitely young kid judgement!

I don't think it's weird. Nothing wrong with it. I think it's a 501a. I will be picking up my 502a super cab on Friday and am very excited to get it. Maybe there is something weird about the person doing the review.
