2022 Ford Super Duty Diesel Banks iDash

Here it is everyone time to go out and play with our iDash from Banks performance and our Pedal Monster, In this video I show how I improved the mounting of my iDash with a A pillar mount on the Ford Super Duty as well as how the gauge reads the amount the DPF is filled before a regen compared to the one we activated on the dash with ForScan. Having the iDash from banks in your truck allows you to have more information shown at one time as you drive to allow you more understanding of how your truck is operating and keep everything working correctly also letting you know when the truck is ready to regen so you can allow it to finish before shutting it off. Change you dpf gauge to the “DPF Soot Load Percent” and it will match what the truck shows. Just changed mine and it seems to be the same so far. The other would only go down to 21% or so after a regen for me too.

I was at the store the other day and found an empty box where they should have been so disappointed

The Banks is the actuate one not the ford in the dash. I’ve had my derringer and idash for years in my 2017 f250 6.7. Once you get to 30% during a Regen it turns the Regen off and it will cool while driving and drop a little more soot percentage after that but the ford cluster will show 0% which isn’t correct. The only way to get close to zero is a static even which you have both on the truck in the cluster and the idash. With the idash you can force a static at 90% and it will run until it gets to 6% soot level. Takes about a half hour but it will clean that dpf filter nicely. I personally do a static once every 6 months and only when it’s cool out. And I’m like you with regens. I’m always on top of my regens. On my idash I have soot levels on 24/7 and Regen status on 24/7 also. So when I’m traveling and when I’m getting close to my destination and the 100% soot level I’ll stay on the highway to make sure I complete my Regen. Only thing I don’t like about my banks derringer is that it blacken my exhaust tips. I don’t know it it’s dumping way to much fuel and the dpf can’t catch it all or messing with the Regen process. Before I had the derringer i could eat off my exhaust tips. Once I installed it it started going black and I can’t get a for sure answer but I’ve gone over 50k miles with the black tips and if it was a cracked dpf that is why it usually means when the tips turn black with all the emissions crap on it it would of thrown a code by now and I’ve passed smog twice already with the black tips and if the dpf was cracked it wouldn’t have so idk. Plus going over 50k miles on a cracked dpf would be a record. But the idash is an awesome tool and the pedal monster is the best thing for these trucks and a much better choice over the derringer.

Love the videos. I know you don't daily this truck, but do you find the extra length vs your Ram to be a PITA? I've got a 2019 Rebel and will most likely be ordering a '24 GMC HD (want the towing and payload) and was just curious your opinion on how noticeable the extra length is in suburbia.

Hey. I really like your truck. I ordered a 22 F-350 crew cab long bed platinum on January 17th 2022. supposedly it is going to be built at the end of November??? So how often does the truck need to re-gen ? And at how many miles did your truck have on it when it did it's first re-gen.

It really depends on how you drive but it does regen fairly often I do like to punch it though I am on my 3rd jug of DEF in less than 5k miles
