I have these forks in my mc450 along with race tech Goldvalves. Perfection!
@kylegreen3782 жыл бұрын
@@joelrees9519 Yeah the forks are somewhat okay with me if they have the right work done, but I have never been on one that had the shock even close. Maybe if I had never ridden proper suspension, I'd be okay with that shock. I just don't see that shock working for me under any circumstance above 2nd gear.

Love it! Not sure why you keep saying that these 250s are too fast for most people, I'm 55 and have racing my ktm for a couple years and just love it. Maybe it's because of 40+ years of riding 2 strokes, lol!

That would do it. 2 stroke dirtbikes, require more skill to ride than 4 stroke dirtbikes, because they're more aggressive, have a more aggressive ride, and more pissed off torque. 4stroke dirtbikes are pointless to me. Never rode one. Don't care too. I grew up with two strokes, and will die with 2 strokes. If it's not broken, leave it be, and don't fix it or change it. Lol

I don't understand the desire to hang on to the air forks. Seems like when they kept holding on to the no link rear years ago. Can someone explain this? They have such an awesome package go with the coil springs and have the complete package. Am I wrong with this thought? Maybe I'm the one thinking wrong here but everything else is so good why do they hold on to one thing everyone seems to be on the fence on. Even with my thoughts on the fork I say great job making a great bike. Looks awesome sounds great.
@woodman4989 Жыл бұрын
They hold on to the air forks because they think they are smarter than us. KTM group is about profit and air forks are much cheaper than conventional forks when you are producing a shit load of bikes. Also you save a couple pounds with the air forks. The new gen KTM's have already gained over 5 pounds.

Just bought one from Kaplan Cycles in Rockville, Connecticut, In The New England Motorcycle Museum. Great People. A1 customer service handling. I get it delivered in about a month or so. Can't wait. Kaplan Cycles has just become a Gas Gas Authorized Dealer . They have an amazing selection. My last 250 was in 1993 Yamaha YZ 250, when Damon Bradshaw was riding for them. Mine was always stock, and she was quick. Sick powerband on her. *******Does anybody have a clue how my 1993 YZ 250 will Compare to the 2022 Gas Gas 2 stroke MC 250? Thanks In Advance. Almost thirty years ago. Scary how time flies by so quick.

how do you like the gas gas? would you rather have a yz250 or mc250
@sonnyseabury4051 Жыл бұрын
@Colten Finlayson MC 250. Built with better quality parts, all over the bike. Love YZ's though. They're what I always used to have, and never gave me any problems. Bought a new YZ 250 in 1993, at the age of 20, when Damon Bradshaw rode for Team Yamaha. All depends on your motivation and finances. Yamaha's YZ 250's, are around, I believe, $1000 or so cheaper. I'd rather spend the money for the better quality, although Yamaha's are awesome. Like Sr and Jr told me.....Yamaha Research and Development Team, hasn't changed anything significant, for the better in many years. The KTM dirtbike corporation makes KTM, GasGas, and Husqvarna. All, one in the same. Their research and development team, never stops working around the clock, to try to improve things on them, for the better, for each and every years. I had been out of the dirtbike riding game since 1995 at the age of 22, and 29 years later, I just got back in. I had streetbikes in between some of those 29 years away from dirtbikes. I make 50 this upcoming July. So I'm easing back into it, since I can't afford to get hurt, being a landlord. I'm also not in anyway near as good of shape, as I was, back then..Will be taking it, into the Dirt, as soon as I get all of my custom parts put on there. I've been buying a little at a times, as I can afford to do so, from the Kaplans. Stock, the bike is amazingly beautiful. Once I get all of these custom parts put on my bike, it's gonna be a sick head turner.

@Colten Finlayson I was getting ready to buy a new YZ 250 2 stroke, until I was told and taught about GasGas. Still need to get used to the slim frame and seat too, because the slimness, of the dirtbike, seat wise, changed big time in 29 years. Lmfao. The gastanks are no longer big and tall, with a seat that goes up onto them. I used to sit in that pocket, between the seat going up the tank and the tall tank. Made me feel like I had good control of the bike. With this new style, fast forwarding 29, soon to be 30 years into the future, I'm still getting used to it. I prefer the tall and big tanks, with the seats that go up onto the tanks, of the older jap bikes, but every company used this same style, so I'm getting use to it a little more each ride. I've ridden it around a few blocks, a few times in my neighborhood. Will be ready for the diet soon, which is my absolute favorite.

Give the PEOPLE what they WANT!!! You guys have the money...buy this bike, buy a BRC 500 2 stroke engine kit with high compression cylinder head, aftermarket cdi, Hygge expansion chamber, beveled piston, decompression switch for starting, and put technical touch KYB A-Kit PSF-1 Air forks and KYB A-kit shock...load that baby up...then get the new 2022 Yamaha YZ250 and do the same with the BRC YZM500 Engine kit! lmbo Then do a comparison, please????????? haha You see it, we want it, let's get er done! If you do that, you can use my fully built 2019 TM Racing EN300ES 2t for a race later this year, or my 2033 CRF450R-S - XPR Engine build with luxon clamps and MX Tech A-kit later in the year as well...gotta get things slowly, but the TM Racing is almost complete done besides the full Coppersmith Racing Ohlins suspension and adding the Smart Carb 2.. has literally EVERYTHING else...v force Reeds with billet reed extender, HGS Stock system swiped for Pro Circuit platinum expansion chamber & silencer, VHM Cylinder Head with 28mL MX insert and more...I pro.ise with the lord watching you can utilize it in a race if we get to see those gully built 500s...might as well add in a Service Honda/Built 500 2022 Honda CR500 too! haha The days of the 2 stroke are once again upon us! 🇺🇸
@jonathondavis1702 жыл бұрын
@@jaysmokey The TM Racing Enduro team uses the Smart Carb system with great success, and for someone who already has a 450cc race bike, I wanted my TM Racing to be used on and work as well on my family's land in NC Coastal region as our 500 acres in West Virginia...additionally just moved from an hour above Seattle, WA in the Cascades and will be returning every 3 months to see my son AND ride the mountains. Quite honestly, this system works great with the TM engines, and the less I have to mess with jetting through elevation changes, the better. I'm all for the stock Keihin carb, but I enjoy riding more than tinkering with my engine...but everyone has their own opinions on things. Thinking about adding a STOC and dial a jet later in the keihin for backup, but that costs more than a simple billet designed Smart Carb 2 - call TM USA, and ask them about the throttle response and gas savings, as well as performance value...my gas is NOT CHEAP on my TM with the mods. lol
