5.3 is 327 cid. That displacement is the GM workhorse. The 350 was for someone who wanted more grunt without the weight of a big block or a 302 to meet SCCA regulations (if you thought I was going to say fuel economy, that wasn't a thing anyone cared about in the 60s, and if they did, a straight six would be better)

I’ve had fantastic experiences with the 5.3. I’ve had a few vehicles including a sierra 1500, a Tahoe, and Yukon that all got over 350k miles by the time I sold them. Hope these newer trucks have the same reliability

The new ones aren’t good like the old 5.3l due to the 4cyl mod They have lifter issues. Ask me how I know.

Absolutely, I went with the refreshed 5.3 Elevation without the DFM after test driving an AT4, AT4X, and a Silverado ZR2. I just couldn't justify the massive price difference for the small option differences. My Elevation has leather, moon roof, sliding rear window, full trailering package, everything I wanted. The only extra's I really, REALLY wanted were memory seats and power folding mirrors, but again I couldn't justify the price tag just to get those few extras.

Id definitely go for the elevation, just all black exterior with the lighter grey cloth interior. GMC's new chimes sound eerily similar to BMW's to my ear, kinda an odd choice for a truck.

I mean you could get a 2019-2020 Ram Rebel with better suspension and tires for off-road. Also Level 2, With a 12” inch touchscreen full leather seats. Multi function tailgate. Sunroof 5.7l hemi 30k miles for 48-51k

I like it but Definitely not worth 60k! No spray in bed liner, no turn signals in the mirror, no view from 360 perspective. Doesn’t even have leather seats!! 😂 At the 60k price tag, Ford’s Lariat is the best bang for the buck. Get way more!
