Sweet video!! That’s me in front! Just found this video by accident. Good job Codger. God knows I love my Fat Boy.

I bought the 2022 Fat Boy in black last week, I just love it. I’ll stick small saddlebags on it and different pipes but that’s pretty much it except for some additional electronics, no windshield, it makes the bike look like a bagger and I’m not in baggers at all, as naked as can be, maybe a sissy bar. Have to swap out the speedo, get one with a tach. It’s a great bike, looking forward to many short trips.

That is so cool. I love the fact that you're changing it up to suit you and your needs/wants. Very cool.

Longest Demo ride I’ve ever seen! Lol! Been on a few here in Missouri and never that long. Great review. Love the new Fat Boys!
@TheCodgerBiker2 жыл бұрын
This was my first demo event and I thought it would have been shorter to be honest. Thanks for the compliment. I love the new Fat Boys too. According to Matt Laidlaw the new 2023 Fat Boys will come with cruise control standard.

I have a 21 fat boy in gauntlet grey and vivid black. I LOVE it. I put a Freedom Performance 2 to 1 side turnout pipe and a trask air cleaner which gave her the sound and performance I was hoping for. I also put on taller mirrors because I couldn’t see behind my shoulders with the silly things that come stock
@TheCodgerBiker2 жыл бұрын
I love my Fatboy too but it's a '15 and I'm glad you love yours. I'm also glad to hear you customized it to your liking.

I have ordered this bike and have it coming next week - got the vivid black one. Having V&H big radius pipes put on it and a passenger backrest - otherwise stock. Can't wait :) I agree it's way too quiet though. If you are going to spend the money to buy a Harley, you want it to sound like a Harley.
@TheCodgerBiker2 жыл бұрын
Did you get the bike? I'd agree that you definitely want it to sound like a Harley. I have V & H shotgun pipes on my Fatboy, they make such a awesome difference.
@guins9910 ай бұрын
I have the 22 in midnight crimson and black. I put the VH big radius pipes on it along with a thunder max tuner and ness monster sucker air intake. Also put chrome 12” bars, all controls are chromed, and a lapera bare bones solo seat. Added a nice leather fender bib also to break up that big rear fender. The bike is a real head turner, I love it as much as my street glide special. I would def say it’s not a great handling bike, it’s built for straight lines, needs you to muscle it into turns a bit more, but that’s fine you get used to it.

The single cam sounds so much better than the dual cam they had. Seems like they get more torque from a single cam

The '22 is more refined for sure.

The handle bars are crooked. Mine was delivered the same....had to align them myself.

I did notice that after the fact of the test ride. I'm gonna look for that when I test ride a '23 this year. Hopefully I don't find a repeat.

I’m hoping to get this bike, I have watched this video like 10 times haha. Question how do you know what the current rpm is while riding? Do you just listen when to shift ? I’m curious to know how you can tell when you are redlining
@TheCodgerBiker2 жыл бұрын
I'm sure there's a switch on the left by the clutch that allows you to toggle between different options and you could pick RPM. Personally I just listen when I shift though. Thanks for watching so many times Kai, Cheers.

I should also mention that any dealer or even private owner that you buy this bike from should be able to show you how to do that.

I bought this motorcycle, as you can see very well in the video, the motorcycle has to be tilted to the right to be in balance. I wonder why nobody talks about it? To balance the engine moved to the left (wide wheel), you need to add 15kG on the right side. Or drive tilted right like in the movie ...
@TheCodgerBiker2 жыл бұрын
I did notice the balance was different than my 2015 Fatboy but to be honest I didn't feel tilted but this is great info you provided. Thanks for sharing.
@cybervotan2 жыл бұрын
@@TheCodgerBiker Thank’s I needed 500km to understand „whats wrong” :-) Now working on 15kG „hidden” weight on the right side to find the balance. Will let you know how did it go :-)

Great piece. Just a suggestion, the information boxes are , imho, too large and obtrusive to your video. Perhaps a thin scrolling banner might not be as distracting to your great content? Great audio, I just say! Keep up the good work!
@TheCodgerBiker2 жыл бұрын
The thin scrolling line is a very good idea. What limits me here is well me and my ability. I'll give it a shot on something though. Thanks for the suggestion and compliments Lou.

This was hard to listen to my guy. If you could do less my bike this and my bike that and focus more on the bike you are on it would be more enjoyable. One or two references would be fine. Any ways love the bike I have a 2018 and love my Fatboy. Keep up the work on your videos and enjoy every bike you get on and have the blessing to get off alive.
