It’s the best looking stock touring bike… imo … you can add anything that it might be missing from a touring bike..

It was a huge debate for me…. Road glide st or lowrider st…. I know some would say there’s no comparison… and that the road glide is better…. Maybe so…. But I do a lot of city riding,, through rush hour.. some 50 mile runs on the highway.. and an occasional long trip… I went lowrider st…. It’s a great bike

We just finished my buddies FXLRST and I road it in the back lot with just the stage 1. WOW, it's got some serious punch. Super impressed. He down sized from a CVO Road Glide just to get away from the weight.

Thank you for the reply. It will not have this click feel when I down shift without blipping the throttle. If I down shift through the gears without the throttle blip and engine RPM coming down, nothing. I did find a Harley Bulletin from a few years ago about something that sound familiar .It was answering customer questions. The first was, ''why am I feeling feedback on the clutch lever when I shift?'' Answer, ''hydraulic pulse from the slipper and assist clutch ramps.'' So I thought it may be that, what do you think? The clutch lever is as smooth as ever when pulling it in every time other than a throttle blipped down shift? Thanks!

I wouldn't think you would feel that in your clutch hand
@ericjames76802 жыл бұрын
@@hotel-delta Talked with Laidlaw and he said it is the slipper clutch that I and others are feeling. Next time you take a newer bike for a test ride, get into 4th gear or so, blip the throttle, then downshift and you will feel a pulse or feedback as Harley states it in their bulletin. Also in one of my replies I sent you a link if you want to read about 12 others that felt the same thing and wanted to know about it.

@@hotel-delta OK Great!! I just talked to a Harley service department and he has only test ridden a few and he had no idea what I was talking about. But when I talked to the owner of the dealership, he says it was the slipper clutch that I was feeling. Just wanted to be sure because not everyone seems to know about it, even some service writers? Thanks for writing back!

According to Brad Richards interview, Gun Ship Grey is the same as the 18 model no change in the mix. Otherwise it would have a different name.

I'll take a closer look at an 18 next time I see one. I can also pull paint codes and double check.

Have another question to ask you. Clutch lever ''CLICK'' sound on new Harley (cable clutch 2022). Could you explain what the click sound is on the clutch lever when down shifting? When I Googled the question, I got many answers that says it is normal and sometimes goes away after so many miles, but what is it?
@hotel-delta2 жыл бұрын
Well all clutches have a little play, where is the click coming from? Do you feel it in your hand or is it audible?
@ericjames76802 жыл бұрын
@@hotel-delta This is on my new 2022 Street Glide ST. It is when you pull in the clutch, blip the throttle and downshift then feel a small click from the clutch lever. If you do not blip the throttle it will not do it.

Looks like You Tube get rid of my link to the others that had complained of the clutch lever click as they were calling it. Wondered why you had not replied. Seems certain words You Tube does not like. Harley explains it as a pulse or feedback from the assist and clutch ramps. It is not a click but you will feel it if you go test ride a touring bike with cable clutch as I and others do on our touring models. You have to ''blip'' the throttle to feel it. The lever will feel like it is moving. If you just down shift with no throttle and let the engine RPM die down, you will not feel it. I suppose I am riding more aggressively than most so it was the first thing I felt.

Is the 117 RG ST the best touring bike from Harley? The answer is NO. No passenger accommodations, no storage, this bike is a toy with bags

Could you find out what the rubber cover is all about on the brake lines of the 2022 models as per this video? He has replies that I feel are hurting Harley as you will read. It is just a rubber or shrink tubing cover over the brake line connection and some reviewers are saying how terrible it is and will never buy a Harley and all kinds of stupid guesses as to why it is there. He has over 2500 views and counting with this nonsense. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKTRi2pjgJ2df9k

We are looking into it more, HD has been running the same fittings for decades, maybe if the brake lines are getting thinner they are adding support around that link to keep the lines from wearing on the fitting.
