I absolutely love the look of the street and road glide st models. The gray on bronze hits my eye right and I have always dug their take on the bagger for styling. But that is not enough for me to buy this bike. At 30k dollars I shouldn’t have to mod it right out of the box. For me it should come with the tech pack, heated grips, and ohlins suspension for that price. With those items standard and maybe a hp bump to at least 125 I could convince myself to pay the high asking price. That being said great job to HD to at least starting to peak my interest when it’s been a brand I don’t even think about looking into.

Don’t bother trying to turn that ST into a sport touring bike. If you stay with the HD brand, and want to tour then go with the Ultra Limited. With these bikes you’ll never notice the 100 lbs extra or the 5 ft lbs of torque. You notice the ultra has a smaller front diameter tire which will cause it to change directions a little easier. In fact the 2019 ultra had a 17 inch front tire, and that bike changes directions very quickly for a big motorcycle. I know I got 40,000 miles on my ultra with most of it being mountain roads. And as a retired law-enforcement motor officer I don’t give the bike any breaks in the mountains. At the end of the day it’s just what you like to ride. Harley Davidson, BMW, any of the others. But I will say one thing about Harley Davidsons and the riding experience. I’ve owned my share of sport bikes, in fact I also currently have a 2015 VFR that’s highly modified. No it’s not a super sport but it’s a damn good sport bike. And it’ll walk away from anything Harley Davidson produces hands-down. However I only get the experience from that motorcycle when there’s nobody in front of me on a great mountain road. You get the Harley Davidson experience at speed, on the freeway, on a mountain road, in traffic. It gives you the experience that a Harley Davidson gives you no matter how you ride or where you ride or when you ride. And at the end of the day the chicks dig the Harleys way more than any other motorcycle you’re ever gonna pull up on!

I have not had a stock windshield or stock seat on any of the last 10 bikes I’ve owned. At a certain size, you realize that stock bikes are just not going to fit you. 1. It's a pure coincidence we released our video same day Revzilla did. There's no coordination between channels, just editing timeframe 2. Our team has never held back from what we really think about any bike (see my Ducati multistrada review, or Spite's first impression on this reveal). Or tune into any Yamcast where we will say exactly what we think 3. Independence =/= negative coverage. You can be positive about something and still be independent. 4. I really feel that HD is adding to cost and weight to add gauges that don't need to be there with a TFT 7" screen. I have the Sportster S and it shows all of that info on the main screen and it is not cluttered. My 4" screen has speedo, taco, fuel, warning lights, cruise control... all on the main dial without hitting a button. That bike has 4 dials and a TFT that can all go wrong while my bike has one gauge. The way electronics are these days, that retro dial is costing more to install on the bike, not less, because it is still operated by the electronics package that is there anyway.
@pocketlint822 жыл бұрын
They got to fill up all that fairing space with something. Also the needle dials are probably still connected by analog to their main function since that's very simple. If they aren't, then that would be pretty dumb. My fatboy is for example. So they are actually less likely to have any kind of issue than a fully digital display. But it's not like modern digital displays are that unreliable. It's just a looks thing mostly I imagine

And Yammie likes to "ear"the speed building up with the wind... Thanks.
