I currently have a PA14, however it is too heavy. I am really interested in purchasing a 2023 outback this upcoming year. The problem is that I am a fat guy at 285. I know the seat says 275 max, should I be worried? What makes the seat have the 275 lbs. limit?

Alway's love the Hobie outback just too much boat for me. Love tge little changes, scupper holes re-enforce, skid plate qnd that drive awsime. I love 120 my 21' Hoodoo Impulse, that I run with my Bixpy, and just received my extea battery. For covering water in my bass tournaments. Perfect vessel for large lakes, resevoirs etc. And at 5ft 7 152lbs, I can walk bow to stern. And plenty of budget fir all my add-ons. 😎 🙏

They do not need to make any changes from 2019-it is already perfect :) Of course if they can shave off 10-15 kilos of the weight that'd be truly awesome but I think I am dreaming here...

I bought a brand new 2016 outback kayak in 2016. And I really think it's a great kayak. But for the front hatch it is terrible it leaks so much water that I'll never buy another over priced hobie ever again. Hobie can go to hell.🤨

Respect the input. Thanks. I have a PA 12 and a passport. About to get a new outback. Unfortunately, I have many issues with the 360 and rudder on the PA 12.

Quality is still utter crap for a $5500+ kayak. The good hobies were 2015-2018. Go Viking, Old town or anything else. Don't waste your money on the outback. These don't just leak they crack near the seat

So does that cheese dick front tote handle. He's right about the back being nice but that thing in the front was replaced before I even used mine. AMOST lost a rod also.
