Our family car is still with us for 21yrs, hopefully I'd get to get a new one once expenses stabilized especially now during this pandemic. The new civic is more of a mild mannered gent now, it looks calm but underneath it's suave demeanor it still has the athletic build of it's youth. I wont even mind the base model now with that 1.5 turbo. Thanks for the review.

I have to say, that is probably the best designed cabin you have ever reviewed. None of this too-futuristic-looking, buttons-everywhere configurations. I love the abundance of TACTILE buttons and knobs so you can easily adjust settings, even while driving (carefully of course). And a flat dashboard with no weird shapes. In terms of driving experience, the Civic is probably THE nameplate. I remember in the 90s (or is it early 2000s) where everyone wants one kasi "matulin" or "pang karera", and they were lowered to almost kiss the ground. 😅 On the other hand, as an MPV fan, I'm not into low ground clearances. But hey, sometimes that's why you get a sedan, for the sheer spirited driving experience. And in my opinion, for decades now, that is the Civic experience. 😊 Another great review, Autodeal! Cheers!

this pretty much sums up my experience of driving the new civic. Interior is designed for "humans". Everything is very easy to use and understand. And the driving... it's just too good. Handling is the best I've ever experienced. Parang when you drive you always feel like your racing with other cars (if that makes any sense).

Nice review! Cool to see the differences between the RS and the Si that we have in Canada/USA. Few differences: Different front nose Michelin Pilot Sports tires vs. Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S (or optional Eagle F1 in the US) RS has the same rear spoiler Same engine but a different tune 175hp vs 200hp Interior leather while leather only comes on Touring trim in NA market, Si has different seats No wireless Android Auto while NA has both wireless CarPlay and wireless AA Rear seat air vents, while NA has rear seat charging ports (in Canada) Trunk arms have covers (NA models don't and I want that part) I'm assuming you don't need heated seats or steering wheels in Philippines hah U.S. model loses a lot of the features (mirror turn indicators, fog lamps, seat heaters, wireless charger) No matter where you are in the world, Civics are great, fun cars and have always been. I've had 3 different generations of Civics now and will continue to buy them :)

I love the fact that even the base model 2022 Civic gets the faster 1.5L Turbocharged engine as opposed to the last generation where it was exclusive to the RS Model.. With that said though, there is less of a reason to splurge for the RS because they have the same engine now; also considering the price, I think the Mazda 3 would be a better choice IMO.. At 1.3M PHP, I'd choose the base Civic; at 1.6M, I'd choose the Mazda 3..

Everyone's reviewing a beloved nameplate in the Philippines, the 2022 Honda Civic. The model received a total exterior refresh along with a bunch of features baked in. The 11th-generation Civic still uses the potent 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo motor that gave the 2016 Civic its legs on the highway and its performance in a straight line. Now with a more mature look, let's see how this new model fares on the roads of Metro Manila. But in Japan, they have Hatchbacks for the 2022 Honda Civic.
