I may wait until the model refresh. This doesn't have fog lights and other options that the Canadian one has, and it sells for cheaper up in Canada too. So, yes. The US version has less options/features for more money. I'm hoping that the model refresh will roll in those added items. That fuel economy sounds very good though!!

The Civic Si should never be overlooked~ Yes, you have the Honda Civic Type R which is a very sporty vehicle, but I feel like some people do not give the Si the credit it deserves. I've always loved Honda manual transmissions, I think their transmissions are the best in the business, and the Si is definitely no slouch. I just love the Civic lineup in general, and you can never go wrong with a Honda Civic. These things are bulletproof for years.

I have this Civic Si 2024. It's great if you have kids. I've had many cars, SW20, AE86, Evo X, 90s Sentra, then switched to trucks and Suvs. I had to get a new daily driver and bought a 24 Civic Sport 2.0 automatic trans at first. I returned it for a different Civic, test drove a 2.0 hatchback touring and then my Civic Si. I ended up with the Civic Si, because it reminded me of my Evo X. Not as fast as my Evo X but ride is more comfortable and quieter in this Civic Si. I'm a Toyota fan and wanted the GR86 Trueno but wouldn't work for my small family in the case of emergencies. It's a great daily, good for long drives on freeway, good gas mileage, good sedan body because the HB gets water in the trunk when it's raining. Overall so far I love this Civic Si.

Mr Topher really didn’t sound happy for one second when ever driving the last SI, but many love it. I own the 9th gen, and it is plenty fast. Sheesh, my wife’s 2019 2 liter corolla is fast enough once the CVT catches up to your throttle input. It really depends what you want; the philosophy of what your vehicle needs to be. For many of us, our vehicle needs to be cheap or hold a child’s seat.

Problem is, the GTI, and damn near everything else at this point, is considerably quicker. The rev hang isn't because of the flywheel, I heard its because of the emission standard. The gas needs fully leave the engine before shifting so it doesn't create excess pollution, meaning that the car automatically will stay on the gas a little before shifting.

I had a 10th gen SI and factory rev hang was unbearable, I ended up trading it back to dealer. I've rode inside a tuned 10thgen since and can say it's more of an ECU emission thing than a flywheel problem. Not to say a single mass doesnt help.

@@siddharthsharma8940 At 35k there are alot of other choices. Granted in this market, a car that was 35k might be 40k. Idk tho, I saw a 22 Veloster N listed for 36k...that car has 75 more HP. 35k for the Si just doesnt make sense and no one should pay that. The Si is suppose to be a sporty car that is AFFORDABLE! a 7k 'market adjustment' is just disappointing

@@equi Right!? when topher said msrp I was like good luck finding one for that. I got a 2020 si new for 25k out the door. You cant find one used with 40k miles for that much now. The car market is horrible especially for new cars. The new civic hatch base is more than my si was. Even at msrp I find the SI overpriced by about 2-3 grand. I would try to wait the shortage out before buying new, these prices are a joke.

Sooo happy with what I see int he new civic line up in general! looks like a real winner. But if I were in the market, the fact that the SI isn't available as a hatchback would be 100% a deal breaker for me. No available heated seats or heated steering is super sad for a brand new car too. If I didn't have cold weather to deal with, I would just get the GR86 anyway. Of course if you actually need the backseats regularly the 86 is out of the question. Veloster N has the same problem with no heat options, even though the non sporty ones have it. And both cars come standard with heat features in Canada, at a lower converted price. Why do foreign car companies think that we don't have cold weather in the US?! Total rip off. Super and about it. Next time I buy a car I may see if I can go buy it in Canada and drive it 20 hrs back if needed. Sorry, rant over
