Good thing you found out about the headlight though. Be getting that fixed . And a pair of frog toggs jacket and pants would live in the storage box . I had a pack on mine lived strapped to the backrest. IN it were fire steel , flashlights , batteries ,hammock tarp and MRE's x2 and a wool blanket and sheet. And no one ever messed with the bag. I'm an old hillbilly-Injun-Irish-Scottish-Polish = survivalist (type) . Had something come into our camp , out of the 12 people who were there 0% will talk about it or acknowledge anything. Have to see it up close to tell what kind of knot you’re using. I doubt it’s a single half hitch. Two half hitch is very common for camping scenarios . Taughtline hitch is very similar and holds a little better than a two half hitch. Recommend running by your local Boy Scout store. The Boy Scout handbook has some basic knots for camping. There are some I learned as a boy scout like the square knot which I actually still use in surgery. Taughtline hitch is my favorite when camping. If you tie it correctly it holds well and slides when you want it to.

@QuasiMotard2 жыл бұрын
Howdy, Gary! I don't know if I'll ride the Navi all the way up to MO, but it might happen later in the fall or early next spring. The Navi's top speed of 50-ish MPH is a bit limiting for longer road trips. The short fuel range also makes the logisitcs very interesting on rural highways where fuel stations can frequently be 80+ miles apart. I'll figure out a fuel cell solution or carry a Rotopax container for my longer scooter tours. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM

Howdy, neighbor! Both of those are fantastic little bikes. The Grom is certainly more capable and more efficient, but it's nearly double the price of the Navi. Would this be better then the honda ruckus just thoughts on im deciding between this and ruckus , ruckus is about same price and people said they hard trouble starting ruckus because way carb is if it sits for a lil bit idk fuel injected or what it is but just some thoughts thanks
@QuasiMotard Жыл бұрын
I think the Navi is more practical than the Ruckus because of the larger engine (110cc for the Navi vs. 50cc for the Ruckus). It's hard to make a real-world use case for 50cc scooters in any major US city because of the road speeds. The 50cc scoots can barely get up to speed and avoid being flattened by aggressive cagers. You can expect to reach a top speed of 35-40 mph from the Ruckus, where the Navi can reach 50-53 mph and get there much faster than the Ruckus could ever hope to achieve. The Navi doesn't have the same cult following and aftermarket accessories as the Ruckus, but the community is steadily growing. There are plenty of upgrades available for both scoots, but I DON'T recommend installing go-fast parts on them in attempts to make them something they aren't. They are slow, relatively cheap machines, and people waste serious $$$ trying to make them faster. That's a waste of time and money... just buy a bigger/faster bike if that's what you need. Both scoots are carbureted, so you need to be mindful about letting them sit too long with ethanol fuel in the tank or carburetor. 3-4 weeks can mean life or death to the tiny little jets in these carburetors... they clog very easily from fuel deposits that ethanol generates. Good luck shopping, and I hope you find a good fit! 😉👍 --QM

Have you checked tire pressure and also oil level to make sure it isn’t slightly over filled? As far as tires, I enjoyed the Michelin s83 on my Honda Z50 but not sure if they have the sizes you need
@QuasiMotard2 жыл бұрын
Yep, I verified both of those... 22/36 PSI (front/rear) and the oil is dead center on the stick. I'm not being nice to it with my 45 MPH cruising speeds, but I hoped it would get closer to 100 MPG. All of my other scoots can get that. The little Yamaha C3 does 107 MPG at wide-open throttle. My Super Cub and the PCX150's will return about 125-130 MPG at those same speeds. I'm shopping around for some decent tires. I'd like to find some Michelin City Grips, but I might do a set of Pirelli or Metzler tires if I can find them in the right sizes. 😉👍 --QM
