I like the way you set everything up. Not a bunch of expensive factory made equipment. Not out to impress anyone. Just let's make this happen. I'm 67 and have been riding Harley for the last 40 years. Now in the market for a good used Helix. Hopping to do just what you did. load it up and go camping. Nice video.

Great vid and very informative. I have a 2011 SYM voyager 250 scooter and i did a 4 day trip from Auckland to the Ruapehu region and return back in summer a few years ago. With my underseat storage, two small gloveboxes, 30 litre top box, a 25 litre sistema container with a 50 litre soft bag strapped on top of it and a backpack i had all up about 200 litres of storage space. Did about 1000km and only cost about $70 in fuel and the bike would sit at 100-110kph without a problem. Hoping to do a trip around the Manawatu region once Covid settles down.

I like your setup! And i'm thinking, you could strap the sleeping bag and tent on the back side of the box. this way you don't need to remove them when you want to remove them every time you want to open the bucket seat.

Nice setup guy, I'm planning a camping trip on my 50cc scooter around western australia but I need to get my back tyre replaced because it's low on tread and has a slow leak. I like your hi vis jacket idea at the back but those sistema tubs always go brittle after a while in the sun for me.. Do you carry any engine oil or that tyre inflating foam? 😊

The Kymco 125 Super 8 is a great little scooter. I bought mine 11 years ago. It's now done 75,000km mostly on unmade roads here in the Philippines. Some repairs along the way, of course, but it still serves as my only transport. I ran it on knobblies for around 10 years which made a lot of difference on gravel and slimy mud tracks. Since the roads have improved in the last couple of years, I've reverted to road tyres which last much longer than the knobblies. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6Hbh6mXj5unrpo It's looking a bit clapped-out now, so I hope to replace it next year with a Honda ADV160.

It went pretty good up the hills. fuel was fine, i actually used alot less traveling at the slower speeds than i would have traveling fast on paved roads.
