My wife drives a 2020 passport. It's the quietest and smoothest driving vehicle we've ever had. Not as fun to drive as my Bronco Sport, but for family trips it has plenty of room and is very comfortable. Plenty of power and it goes like a tank in the snow.

It has the 3.5 V6 the same engine as the larger Pilot. So you would think this thing gets up and goes. 280hp is a lot of power for a suv this size.

Do you like the ZF 9 speed transmission? I have a 2015 Honda with it and dislike it! I have also read very mixed reviews on it. I heard it was refreshed in the 2019’s and newer.

I suggest comparing the PP Trailsport to other two-row suvs. You'll find it's typically larger and handles better than what's currently on the market. It's a great vehicle.

I much prefer chrome trim versus the blacked out high gloss trim outside and inside on my vehicles. The drive selector needs to be a shifter, please eliminate the button based drive selector. The instrument panel needs to be updated yesterday. The center console layout and storage is fantastic.

Last month I opted for the 2021 passport sport - one of the last available models in the tri-state - I love the vehicle and I feel the sport model was a much better value then the fancy ones - everything you need nothing you don’t - plus wayyyy better 20in black rims with full led highs lows an fogs

Great review. The rear tail turn signal for EXL and Elite are now red and not yellow. The exhaust tips are now larger. The windshield on the Trailsport and Elite now have a heated wiper resting area. The center console also has a sliding tray and the rear doors have retractable sun shades.

I've got a 2020 passport tons of Tech problems auto dimming doesn't function at all and collision mitigation is horrible make sure those issues are resolved service manager also drives one and has same issues

Great review 👏🏽🙂. I had always believe Honda has made great reliable vehicles for years. I generally like the passport great size suv but they really need to step up in the interior and include more features that is worth the $40K+. That’s my just my honest opinion🤔. Also more question if can you do a comparison video between the 22 Honda passport EXL and 22 Santa Fe Calligraphy 🙂.

I think the Passport is a better choice than the Murano, Edge, and Blazer. But the Atlas Cross it probably a bit better. Honda did a bewildering choice in eliminating the full-LED headlamps on the Elite. Maybe it had something to do with supplier issues, but this is not a good look. But I do like how space efficient the interior is. Its pretty large given the exterior dimensions.

Honda had to cut back on some costs. Unfortunately. Some electronic parts are also made by another manufacturer, which are a lot cheaper. Not sure if they will last as long. US Honda got hit hard when forced to shut down on 2020. Scary.

Piano gloss is horrid. It drives me nuts in my 19 elite. The screens angle collects Dust! It never goes away and it's blairing. Also all over the shifter area. It's enough that I've thought about trading it in. Everything else is great tho 🙂.

Those buttons are nice, I have a 21 Passport and a 21 Subaru Outback. I like the physical buttons with the Honda versus running most of the button functions on multiple screens you have to jump around to get to on the Subaru.

I'm disappointed that they cut out the Touring model forcing a lot of buyers into the more expensive Elite trim or sacrificing features. I picked up a 2022 Trailsport a couple weeks ago, trading in a 2020 Touring. I lost a couple of things but I really like the trailsport look. I think the headlight change is a downgrade to the look of the other trims, but it fits the trailsport and gives it a more truck-like front. I miss the upgraded sound though.. ridiculous that only the top end trim would have that. But at least my phone has worked well with the wireless charging and the matte trim bits inside on the trailsport are so much easier to keep clean than the gloss black my Touring had. And I think the orange stitching on the trailsport looks great.

I am sure that in 20 years, we will see car interior and exterior change quite a lot. They are moving toward a futuristic style appearance of cars. Look at the new Toyota Prius, looks similar to one of those concept cars or whatever they call them. Forgive me, for not being that smart, But I believe that when I am 50 years old, we will see cars that are different. I am currently 31 living with schizophrenia. Every day is a constant struggle to be normal, people tell me I am a weirdo, but I try my best not to let that get me. I believe that I will see first humans on Mars, and many other things. The technology will improve and cities will become like some of the movies with time. My time on earth is limited, much like the other peoples. So I am trying to appreciate everything I get. For me this Honda Passport is a perfect fit. Wanted to go for a Mazda CX-5, but I was told Hondas are more reliable. I like it. The Passport’s interior is simple, with a twist, the exterior is great, makes the car look tough. Lots of space. Too bad cars have high price tags these days. $40000+ is not cheap. That’s like 1 and a half years of work for me and not paying a single penny. So yeah, I am kinda stuck. But I am happy, I dont care what others say, I will drive this car, and will try to make the world a better place, by helping people. I have learned that you will not make everyone happy no matter how hard you try, they will force you to take sides. The best thing you can do is be yourself, and that’s it. I pray that one day, I will be healthy. Thanks for the review, I really enjoyed it. You guys are awesome! 👏

Honda is hit n miss, when you look at how many buyers have to return to have a “previously fixed” recall or tech serv bulletin (TSB) procedure to be redone. The infotainment system is a carryover, from the years before. Sure the current recalls only for the speedometer & backup displays going dark, but Honda...a recall for the HOOD flying off. That infotainment system has many issues where Honda has issued audio TSBs. Speakers loudly popping, when the radio/XM/phone or navigation is OFF. After the work is completed, the frequent pops come back and you’re back at the dealership, to have the same TSB redone. At $40k+ you’d think they’d fix the Passport’s known infotainment issues..

At 5:17 notice, there is 3rd Paddle on left of break paddle, very annoying, it hits your left leg, bothers you when leg/foot relaxing and keep getting poke from this manual brake paddle, this is the main reason I didn’t go for it, i almost bought it till i took driving test and found, I don’t want to squeeze my leg around while going in/out, lets assume it doesn’t hits your leg but it still close enough to grab your attention. Don’t need this headache.

Incredibly dated vehicle. - No 360 cam (on any Honda. DECADE old feature and Honda is STILL behind) - Small screens compared to competition - no full digital gauge cluster (competition has it) - Dated infotainment OS - Generic non-branded sound system (no Bose, Harmon kardon, etc) - Super boring interior and exterior has lack of LEDs All of Honda’s SUVs are dated. Idk how Honda thinks it’s ok to charge that much for this vehicle while their competition is charging even less for WAY more modern features and luxury (like the very impressive redesigned Hyundai Santa Fe).

I like the Passport but i was so disappointed by it. The styling, packaging, visibility, and drivetrain are great. That’s it. You guys are too easy on this car. The ride is average, not one of the best. The infotainment is also not great - remember that Honda used to have the best infotainment. The lack of a panoramic sunroof and 360 camera are just baffling - how do you give Honda a pass on this?! Honda seat coolers are among the worst out there. The skinny and cheap fold down armrests are unacceptable compared to even the CRV. If you are a wider or taller adult your elbows simply don’t rest that close to the seat. The interior finish is rental car stuff.

Too expensive for what you really get. The headlights performance is horrible. The fog lights are a nice touch but nothing more than just aesthetic. Other than that I don't really mind what this car has to offer.
