I bought your winner. I ordered it Monday. It should arrive early next week all things being equal. Being a looooong way from any bow shops, the tuning was my main reason. Then the draw cycle, due to a wrecked shoulder. Your earlier reviews formed part of the decision making process. Thankyou. .

That SET saved my ass when I started to shoot my fixed blade Broadheads last week. Broadhead was 2” left of my field points. I tried bumping the rest first to no avail. Then a 1/4 turn with SET and boom dead on! No press, five minutes in the garage.

Thanks for this video! I like your approach to reviews with well thought out descriptions and critiques. If I could ask for anything, it'd be for a quick run through of each bow of it's stand out high points and low points. I know you cover some when talking through the comparison points, but a niggle with a specific bow might not come out in those contexts. Just super short summaries. I'd also like people to not give you a hard time for your work... Unless you really wanted a reason to grab the whiskey ;)

all the testing, and I couldn't find one channel that actually covers RELIABILITY of a bow as a criteria - I get it, just buy the newest bow every year and you don't have to worry about reliability and how long the bearings and the limbs will last... ....however, some archers (count me in) actually shoot their bow quite a bit and don't want to buy a new bow every year, and they shoot not only during the hunting seasons, and then unfortunately you find out that some manufacturers have serious reliability issues especially when the bows are shot with longer DLs as there is more energy stored in the bow. Is there any manufacturer who actually provides a more suitable threshold(s) that consider not only the grain per pounds for the arrow, but also the DL to cater for a more predictable live span of the components????????
@ArcheryTalkVideo2 жыл бұрын
Reliability is a difficult thing to quantify in our review period. If I'm shooting 5 or 6 bows during a testing period, I'm only about to put 1000 arrows or so through each of them. That's not enough to see how they will hold up for three or four years.
@WM-jy9dz2 жыл бұрын
@@ArcheryTalkVideo thanks for your feedback - very appreciated. And yes, I understand the challenge here, but IMO reliability is such an important criteria....it is pretty frustrating if you train for a competition, and a few days before the start of the competition you find out that your bearings are gone or that you need new limbs and you have to wait weeks for getting replacements...
@mikeguy96682 жыл бұрын
Flagship elites are shooters bows. Not speed freaks yet plenty fast, extremely forgiving and can tune any arrow in record time. I still shoot a kure and probably will till it just rots away. I think people sleep on elite and I just don't know why. Maybe because they don't have a big name like matthews or hoyt.

I went to my local pro show and shot the Mathews V3X 29 and 33 against the Hoyt RX7 and at my draw length (28”) and at 70lbs the Hoyt had slightly less vibration and I liked the draw cycle better (it stacks the heavier weight at the front of the draw where you’re stronger and gets easier at the back) Mathews was opposite. Overall they were both awesome and I’d like either of them but I think Hoyt did an amazing job on them!
