I’ll be getting one of these as soon as it comes out trading in my 19 Elantra Sport and I cannot wait. Love everything about the Korean spec but there are few things I would change or add on. Few things I would like to see: HUD, Blind View Monitor (Like from Sonata and Palisade), Soft touch upper door trim, front and rear parking sensors, power folding mirrors, rear a/c vents, rear heated seats with charging port, all LED lights interior and exterior, keep the blue seat belts, sunroof for DCT, memory and power seats, ventilated and heated seats. Maybe make the circle on the dashboard all piano black or some kind of useful screen. I would also love to see an AWD version because I live in the North and see snow from time to time. I’m willing to pay extra for these features as well! I’m still beyond excited for this and my dealership knows that I’m interested and said as soon as they get one I will be able to have that one!

I agree with George about his suggestions and showing the manual transmission some much needed love. I think the manual should be available with analog gauges, a sunroof, more soft touch surfaces with more padding on the arm rests on the door and center console, rear seat connectivity options, a pocket on the back of the front seats (if not already included), dual climate control, different color leather power seats with heating (if not also ventilation), and (pie in the sky maybe) seat position memory for the driver. With the manual transmission. All of it. I don't really like the oh-crap bar cutting the driver off from the front passenger. Navigator needs access to the controls on long trips, or even if you just want to hold hands. And yes, a hatchback would be great, too. With a manual. Then again, I think a lot of this should also be an option on the Elantra N-line, too. With a manual. #savethemanuals

I really appreciate your review and agree with everything you said. I am still driving a car I bought new over 14 years ago with a manual transmission. That does not rule out a two door like the BMW 230i with a manual though. I have never owned a BMW and am not sure I want to for long term ownership. I do however own a 2012 Hyundai Genesis sedan with the 3.8L naturally aspirated motor and that car has been great for our main family car. So, what I am saying is that I would love to have this Elantra N or a Sonata N as long as I can get it with a manual. Everything else is you suggested makes it even better. Sunroof > like to have one / Analog Gauges > should be the standard with a manual, much better and more appreciated by the people who drive a manual / wheel/tire sizes > nothing bigger than 18" in my preference and some good all season Michelins / Seats > should be sporty and firm... color wise I suggest a mixture of dark gray and light gray with blue stitching to match the blue seat belts/ Limited slip differential for sure :) my two pennies worth

One thing I would like to suggest to Hyundai and all car manufacturers actually. There are many of us that will buy manuals but like me, can't find one to buy. That is the only reason I am still driving the manual transmission car I bought new in 2006. I live near Chattanooga, TN.. Would you believe that the local VW and Honda dealers don't have anything on their lot as of my writing in a manual transmission? Unbelievable. Back in March, Toyota and Mazda didn't have any manuals around here. Kia and Hyundai have no manuals around here. Sure, I can drive a little over a hundred miles and find one but my point is they are not easily accessible. I feel many people that might be looking for a manual , will end up accepting an automatic, but they would have bought the manual if it was available. I believe as long as your company is making the manuals, you should make them available to all dealers on a consignment program. That way the dealers don't have to pay lot rent. Then when they sell a manual, they get another one on consignment. It would be win/win for everyone. Does anybody agree or understand what I am trying to say?

i could care less for a sunroof in this N elantra. my 2018 sport has one hardly ever use it just leave it tilted open. if it comes to the US like this one in the video i’m sold and i’ll be trading in for sure 😎 would be nice if they came with fog lights too

Love your show! From what we know, the all-new Elantra is actually lighter by about 40kg than Veloster. Not sure if the weight differential would translate to the N versions though. The newer Hyundai's are using a lot more of the light-weight, high-strength Hyundai steel, and are using lighter glue in assembly, apparently.

Please add brown, white (combo dark brown/white) or the beautiful light gray color from the standard car on this N model.

@@rann127 No, “N” is Hyundai’s performance division. Think BMW M, Audi RS, Mercedes AMG, etc

@@JTube571 go look up videos of the two - mk7 gti/gli beats the veloster in almost every thing except pure track driving. on the road gti/gli will kill it especially in a straight line and daily drivability

Please don’t go with that digital tach set up, either analog or at least update the ui, looks dated off the bat :( other then that love the car! Will be looking to get one, hopefully more modern looking gauge cluster/dash/tach set up tho

Complains about the weight of the power seat yet knocks it for not having a sunroof ¿? Sunroofs suck for tall people. High mounted weight. I think it’s a good move keeping it away from the manual. Even drivers who aren’t tall might want to track the car and that requires room for a helmet.

Thanks for a great review. I was seating on the sidelines after my 2011 Sonata with manual(rare breed) and looking for used manual BMWs. This may bring me back to the showroom provided they don't insult manual drivers. @Mike, please make same equipment such as ventilated seats or sunroof available for both manual and DCT options. I swear if they think manual drivers asses don't sweat I'll go for used ;) Cheers!

Man I love your dog 🐕 first of all, haven't seen it in a while, but really I would take a automatic and no sunroof cause of previous problems I've had, great car though Hyundai!! Who would've thought a Elentra N anyway great work!

Sunroof only available with dct? That makes zero sense.
