Becoming a kawi fan. Picked up a 22 kx250x and I luv it! Was a KTM user and got tired of the harsh.

"The subframe has been reinforced where it's been prone to breaking under the weight of the stock muffler" LOL! Of course..the stock muffler is spec'ed by Kenworth Truck Lines..

I got 23 hours on mine chain sprockets change and my Dunlop mx 33 the lugs ripped off and separating from the carcass all at mx 191 in the sand love the bike

They’ve been using SR also as far back when Jeff Ward went to racing for them I think too.

My rear doesn’t squeak.. I’m on east coast and rear doesn’t lock up like they say.. Haven’t had any overheating issues.. love the bar mounts they are crazy on that one to me.. cons to myself are.. forks too soft(pro rider) hi speed on shock shock too stiff (I like a low rear) ..on mapping right on crack of throttle it’s too rich.. the steering stem won’t tighten even when it’s super tight?? Never had that happen before but steering stays loose no matter what. Overall it’s my favorite bike I’ve owned. Can really go fast on it and still be comfortable

Are you loosening your top triple clamp before tightening the steering stem?

@@jokly1264 yeah, I do everything proper.. so I decided to take it apart fully grease it again and spin the bearing to a different spot before tightening it back up.. sounds dumb but only thing I could try and so far it is more firm feeling now. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@MotoCrossAction mag. You say this bike weighs 10 more pounds than the KTM....that was last year's 2022 models you are comparing it to right? Because the new generation 2023 KTM's put on 8-9lbs correct? So the new weight comparison is actually on 1-2lbs heavier than the KTM correct?

any way you can find out why we don't get factory editions in Australia. Both Kawasaki and Honda don't do it and for the first time we didn't get the Ktm this year either. Can't be that they don't sell because I know plenty of people that would snap them up

Yep, I ride my KX250 06 every weekend. KTM300SX could be the new 2stroke for me.

If manufacturers really want to target the biggest demographic, they would produce a big bore 350-400cc 2T with headlight & kickstand. That would dominate the showroom floor.

you are absolutely right that's why the closest thing to what you described, the ktm 300 2 strokes, are their best selling engine size for many years and currently. but yeah reintroducing a 380 would be a hit too.

@@tomporgy1143 with enough cubic dollars anything is possible. mxa tested the canadian brc 500 2 stroke made from a ktm 250/300. but count those pennies for a minute. buy a donor bike. buy the engine kit. buy the stuff the donor bike inevitably needed to be rebuilt with that had nothing to do with the engine. buy the fresh cosmetic stuff. buy the accessories you wanted it finished with. buy the pro mechanic that actually knows what he's doing to put it together (not a diy guy in his garage or a youtube mechanic). i'm sure it would really cost at least about 3 times the price of a new bike if we're being real. cough up the cash and put one in your garage! just kidding. lets go riding right?

Narr I'll stick to my KX250 06. There's a new bike coming that will strip the 4strokes clean of there bullshit, KTM300SX now show us that bike and don't worry about the money pit 4strokes. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

Fuel injection on a 2 stroke is the future, so smooth and dependable. Your slow as fuck anyway, dont worry about it. You dont need a 300 either, try a 125 or 150 and learn something.
