Lol, true, but one thing that Suzuki have is a bike suited to a larger rider, I raced them for years because of that exact reason. They are softer all round though, as in the hardware, nuts and bolts, gears, and just in general.but I feel any person at a lower level than an A rider just can’t tell the difference between most of these bikes. Just my opinion. But yes they will be last next year😂😂 not too sure if this is true, but aren’t Suzuki, Kawasaki, and honda coming together as one to develop the electric bike for 2028?

Great job with the shootout! I was struggling between the FC450 and the YZF450 recently and ultimately pulled the trigger on the Yamaha. I have primarily ridden Austrian bikes since 2016, with the exception of my 2019 CRF450r (classic case of it's the right bike for some but it wasn't for me. I couldn't stand the suspension on the Honda...loved the motor though). I love the lowered suspension on the FC, as motocross bikes have gotten too tall, which definitely makes it feel more nimble in the corner. I had always thought the ergos and handling of the YZ450f wouldn't suit my style...and then I rode the bike. I love the motor, power tuner app. and the KYB suspension is the best stock setup money can buy and it corners so much better than people give it credit for. I run the sag at 103 and front fork height at 5mm (I actually like the handle bars in the forward mounts as well) and because the bike is so planted and comes into a corner with unrivaled stability, I actually end up cornering faster than I did on my previous Husqvarna...which was hard for me to wrap my head around. I also love how easy the setup is and I don't have to mess with air forks anymore. I have to do the WP Pro Conversion kits (cone valve) on my Husqvarna/KTM models to achieve a similar high quality feel and even then I still like the KYB more. Needless to say, I'm very impressed with the Yamaha.

I have always stuck with the Yamaha, always have and always will. Everything else just feels generic to me. Sloppy and not as tight tolerance wise. I’m a CNC machinist so notice the quality in the workmanship more than most. I feel it even more on their street bikes. The Yamahas just feel as though every piece on the bike has been manufactured at a tighter tolerance than everything else. The only one that I’ve felt compares is the Honda. The KTM I’d never even consider after seeing others have issues getting parts for there 4 to 5 year old bikes. I don’t buy a new bike every year. At best I may update every 4 but since I ride the YZ 250 I’ve not needed to update since 06!! I do have a 2013 though and don’t see buying another unless Yamaha makes a totally all new YZ250. Now that would be awesome and very possible being they just did a new 125.

@@jacobhendrickson8935 Why wouldn't you want to get the updated 2022 YZ250??? Every magazine has had fascinating results with lap times on the updated YZ250 because of updated suspension, chassis, and airbox/air induction! They kept that low-end grunt character but boosted power, feel, agility, and stability. :) I'd say totally wait a year or two, but if not seen by then just purchase this newest version of the YZ250 and rock it!!! It's an amazing and fun machine! Then purchase the new BRC YZM500 engine for it, and drop it in that chassis! 👌 Then you got 60+HP and 50+ ft-lbs of torque!!! Not to mention you can get all kinds of upgrades like Hygge Works Cone Pipe, CDI and map selector switch, decompression switch, high compression cylinder head, port & polish etc. And the engine can be fully rebuilt using CR500 parts! And did I mention this engine is less than $7k USD, and counter-balanced with a triple-blade power-valve!!????? lol Also everyone forgets the performance and reliability of the Italian TM Racing off-road motorcycle manufacturer! I've owned Suzuki, Honda, Husqvarna, Yamaha, and now my TM Racing EN300ES 2 stroke and this is hands-down one of the best machines I've ever had, and I've owned Yamaha, Husqvarna, & TM since 2016 - all brand new off the showroom floor, and all engine, chassis, and suspension modified. These bikes are so phenomenal that I'm even thinking of saving for their new 2022+ MX450Fi to add to my 300cc 2 stroke. But Honda & Yamaha always have a hold on me - it's almost family tradition with these two brands, as that's what my father and brothers all own, as well as the rest of our family. :) It truly is a great time to be riding!

I made a street-legal 2019 YZ450FX supermoto back in 2018 and still have yet to even check the valves or do a top end on my bike and ir rides better than it did new. All I did was change the oil every 8-10 hrs, air filter twice and clean/lube the chain. I haven't even had to adjust the chain! I rip the hell out of this bike on the streets and even rip it on the highway and I have not had a problem. It gets 42 MPG avg with all street riding. Yamaha is #1 to me, I love all of their bikes. The top down view of the bikes at 1.40 is quite interesting to see the widths. It's funny how the slimmest looking bike from that angle is also the heaviest and makes you wonder if all Suzuki needs to do is update the motor to be in the running again as they could probably lose 15 pounds just in the engine

Should drop suzuki And put the 350 in the mix way more relevant to the non pro level maybe even just 1 of the 3 wood be orsom

Agree that there isn't a "bad" bike in the shootout. However, if given the chance, it really does pay to be able to ride all the different brands to see which one fits you best. Best of luck if you can make that happen.

I don't get it I've watched other 450 shootouts and the KX450 has won like 2 or 3 years in a row. I watched another video of the 2022 450 shootout and they chose the KX450to win?

This is a joke , just giving a price to every manufacturer . You’re telling me not one bike could win 2 different caratgories ? This is pathetic just trying to keep manufacturers happy to keep the free bikes coming in . Fancy calling the Honda the best pro bike because basically everything on it will be changed that’s laughable

Is there going to be a 2023 450 shootout this year. It’s been almost three months in the new year and there is no shootout for the 450s yet. The 2023 450 shootout is well over due

Lmao Husky first? It’s so obviously undeserved. Plastic subframes that need to be replaced for the most minute of impacts... I don’t think so Tim.

By why is the Honda the best at whips? These reviews pretty much sound the same as they did 2012. In terms of all the bikes characteristics.

Awesome production. Looking at getting a new MX bike for track work. I currently ride a TE300 for trails and some track. I would consider myself a Vet beginner, if I am generous maybe pushing towards intermediate. I ride mix of intermediate/vet tracks or sometimes the senior tracks depending on location. I am also 210lbs. I was initially thinking a Gas Gas MC350 or a Husky FC350, but I have never ridden a 350 and probably wont get the opportunity to try one. I rode my friend new YZ450F recently and loved the suspension but felt the power was too much for me. Wondering now if the FC450 would be more suitable given my weight?
@travisazure2 жыл бұрын
I currently weigh about the same, 210lbs, and have 2 ktm 350s. Xcf & 22-sxf and they both have more then enough power for me. I'm an A- expert level off-road racer to give a little more perspective.

All these bikes will overheat on the starting line if sat long enough. They need air flowing through their radiators

I know this is old news now but I rode a 22 yz450f recently and the only thing I liked was the power the bike overall felt terribly fat and top heavy with bucking suspension that kicked you around everywhere, I’m a 175lb without gear)
