How much markup did you pay for your EV6? Basically all Kia/Hyundai dealerships are marking up the EV6/Ioniq 5 between $5k to $15k in California making the tax credit irrelevant.

The GT has a few extra features that i noticed over the Wind for about $5000 extra. 1. Sunroof 2. Interior lighting 3. Twenty inch rims opposed to nineteens. I really want the sunroof but Idk if it's worth it.. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Performance & sound system are identical according to website.

I put a down on my ev6 … picked it up and 5 minutes after I left someone showed up and had a hissy fit cause the car was gone. I lucked out getting my car … wind … AWD … tech package … love it and you are right the ride is very comfortable … my son has a Y and not as comfortable as ride as the ev6 … also don’t like the “iPad” like console …

I went with the Wind AWD, because I didn't want the sunroof, and doesn't seem like that's an option to NOT have in the GT-Line. =/ Would have liked the other add-ons to the GT-Line, but the sunroof is a killer (it removing headroom).

I looked into getting one of these yesterday, the GT line is basically more self driving than the Wind. I was ready to buy but they want $10,000 over MSRP. No way am I paying over MSRP. You can get a Cadillac Lyriq for 65,000

@@justinramirez8663 yeah I think I'm gonna get a Lexus Hybrid instead, don't think a 1st gen ev is a good idea anyway. Plus over priced for the size you get and range needs to improve.

The Lyriq sold out in 19 minutes, sight unseen and not out for a year or so. I'm pretty sure there will be crazy markups for that car as well. And GM has no more tax credits, so $65k (for the base model only) is probably unrealistic...

Most places are price gouging but there are dealers that will give u the msrp if u go to the right place.

If you can find one get the EV6 First Edition. They only made 1500 of them. They look like a Wind but has everything you can get in a GT-Line. You can tell them apart from the Wind by the Sunroof. I got lucky and got number 723 when they first came out. The best car I ever owned and I'm 77 yrs. old and bought my first car in 1963 so you know I've owned more cars than I can count but this EV6 is hands down the best.

When is this recorded model y has been over $60k for almost a month now it’s $63k after the last hike. I absolutely not recommend model y at $63k it’s just over price as you can buy one size up luxury class x5 45e for the same price if dealer not marking it up, which is a better build more luxury and substantial vehicle. When it was $ 4x,xxx price it was a value choice and good buy it was cheaper than comparable x3, now it’s just competing with Lamborghini with price.

The base car will already yell and even brake if you try and lane change into a car on the highway. Maybe good to see the side mirror camera in a city with bikes?

Love that you are doing reviews of EVs. Nice to see a car review from a non-traditional source. You provide a unique perspective since you actually own the vehicle rather than the typical reviews who simply review based on test drives. Would be interested in your real world mileage with the KIA vs. the stated EPA ratings. You touched on this subject previously but would like to see if it's changed along the way. Keep up the good work.

Great Review! And KIA HB is down the street from me! My 2020 Bolt Premier Lease is up Jan 2023 so planning on what to get next and this video was excellent. I too prefer the EV6 styling over the Ioniq 5 but there are some things I like better on the Ioniq 5 over the EV6. Tough call.

My understanding is that the GT line has 360 cameras, Wind does not. You did not mention that as a difference. For me, the way they have allotted features to the different trim levels is frustrating. My preference would be GT line without the sunroof and with the 19" wheels in the darker gray or gravity blue. Can't get one equipped like that.

The Tech package available for the Wind trim line adds the 360 camera (surround view monitor). Go with that line and you'll get everything you're looking for - tire size, color, and no sunroof.

This is the video I needed! Thank you. Questions tho. I'm torn between the GT AWD and Wind AWD. You said the blind spot is available in the Wind, but what about the rest of the collision avoidance tech? Is it only in the GT line? If that's the only way to get it, I may have to look at the ioniq even tho, like you, it doesn't appeal to me as much. Functionality-wise it should be my choice, but I love the look of the EV6. Thanks for a great video.

Bro this is THE video I’ve been waiting for someone to post and you hit it out of the park! Well done! I need to rewatch again again to soak it all in but leaning on the GT AWD as I’m in HB SoCal and plan to take it skiing. My concern is will the tiny trunk fit my 2 golf bags? No one posted the cargo for golf bags yet:( I had an order for the Y and cancelled it due to rebate issue and was surprised you said the Y suspension was not as smooth as ev6. I thought the Y rode smooth but then again I never tried the ev6. I think the ev6 looks best as well. Ionic 5 looks boring. Y looks good but not as cool as ev6.

Also, if it matters to you, Tesla doesn't offer tax credit anymore. The Kia also comes with 3 years of charging and their stellar warrenties.

I am ecstatic to see the new Nissan (400)Z to come out. I've been driving it in Gran Turismo 7 and I love it hahaha. Really glad tho that Kia did not kill the Stinger!! When my lease finishes, I'm torn between the Z or Stinger. Sports enjoyment or sports and practicality. Hmmm...

The guy wishes that Kia put the blind spot cameras and the automatic door handles as options on all the trims, but then he only wants to pay $100-$200 for them. Since when is any option in any car only $100?

I prefer the look of the Ioniq 5. The Kia is easier to get, but for very similar prices and near identical performance (from the same makes) I'd say the Ioniq is the winner. The Kia looks more normal but the Ioniq looks more fancy. It also is a bit more unique in style.

Thanks for the “Like”. Despite not wanting a sunroof also with air, thinking heavily about moving up to the EV6 GT Line in (RWD) for a few additional features it has that adding Tech Package does not add. Plus you can’t get the Tech Package in Wind RWD For example HUD and Ambient Lighting.

It is, but then you have to deal with Tesla's terrible repair servicing Plus I believe the EV6 and Ioniq 5 have more rear space. You also can get the $7500 federal tax credit from Kia or Hyundai while Tesla only gets your state incentives which you also get with the other. From what I've seen, right now is one of the worst times to get a Tesla with massive wait times unless you cough up $12K for the self driving package which adaptive cruse control comes for free on the other two. But on availability, just going to hyundai's site, it says there's 7 Ioniq 5 within 35 miles of my house brand new. If I want the base model y, it won't show up till October, but if I add self driving it will come in June. Meanwhile I could have been driving the Ioniq that entire time. The Ioniq is also cheaper to get as well even getting the base model. The base Ioniq is only $45K while the model y right now is $58K, and again, without incentives. That means I'd get the Ioniq for $37.5K vs the Tesla still being $58K. The model y is the more powerful car and is an all american brand, but there are very few reasons why you'd want to buy it over the alternative. Once other brands also lose the incentive the Tesla will be a much better sell again.
