I had the chance to try both the new 2023 and the one on the video. It's really about taste. Beyond a futuristic shuttle feel I enjoyed better the 2022. It's more car experience. I guess if young and like flashy things 2023 it's something to wait for.

Morning, Kirk! The ONLY Hybrid car that I remember having a MANUAL transmission (6-speed) was the Honda CR-Z. Also, your audience would have to heed that the market is so WHACKED UP that the premium dealers ask for almost every hybrid (more so for PHEV's) is so high you're pretty much assured you CAN'T RECOVER EVER with the fuel savings. Figure this 2G ('23) Niro PHEV will "only" get 180hp and 195lb-ft combined, even below the (219hp) Rav4 "self-charged" HSD, so the fuel savings and purchase price (!) against competitors would be crucial for sales on that model. Perhaps that's why Toyota put so much power on the Rav4 Prime (302hp combined) and the NX450h+ (304hp combined). You'd figure is a powerful crossover for its' size and forget about any savings from being an HSD (you'll get fuel savings AT A HIGH COST.

Nice review. Is Niro PHEV amperage 8 or 12 choice like on Volt or if not which? How long does it take for full charge?

I have the 2020 kia niro and I personally love it however someone crashed into the back and insurance would not total it out and the parts were on back order for five months so I had to pay car payment and had no car to drive for 4 months because insurance only covered rental car for a month. So I would not recommend a Kia niro. Those parts are hard to get.
