Still love these Stinger GT’s even a few years later. If I wanted a fast, fun, practical, spacious 4-door for ~$50k, I’d go straight for one of these or a Genesis G70. Admittedly there have been some strong new entries into this segment recently (TLX, Giulia, M440i, Model 3, etc), but this/G70 would still be my top choice. And the fact that is is off the beaten path and an insider’s choice in this segment is worth more to me than any Audi, BMW or Mercedes logo.

Nice review. I have a RWD GT Sport (GT2 equivalent in NZ), To use launch control you have to hold the traction button down for 5 seconds to turn traction AND stability control off.

You have to hold traction control off for 5 seconds in order to get launch control

you can use the speed control switch on the stalk ( the one to control the intermittent speed) when its in auto and will make it "less" sensitive to the rain..

I have the 2022 top trim here in Australia and if you want to stay in manual trans mode you need traction control off just some fun factor it get wild so if your not to good at controlling a drift car don't go there :)

It smokes a 530i and would be toe to toe with a 540i, while also having all the tech for less money so no it’s not a stretch at all…

@@archiarch10 also if you do ever get the chance to drive another stinger gt to access launch control you need to have it in sport mode and hold down tcs button for 5 seconds (it will ding to confirm tcs and stability control is off) or most stinger gt owners do what's called the e-brake launch since regular launch control only allows for 2psi to launch with this newer method I'd guess its roughly double that
