TRX destroys it. And you don't get a damn v6, complete fail mate. optioning out raptor often comes near price of TRX. t-rex eats raptors for breakfast. Raptor R will lose to TRX too and will cost same, why would you buy it?

@@roboticvenom1935 for one, the Raptor R hasn't came out yet. For two, the current raptor is already a better truck, the TRX is just faster. They tow the same amount, they have the same payload, but the Raptor handles better, being that's it lighter, and gets decent gas mileage. The TRX is TERRIBLE on gas. The Raptor R doesn't have to do anything to be a better truck. With the GT500 it'll mostly likely be faster so

The TRX is a toy, the Raptor is a better truck in every practical sense. Ford is coming out with their "toy" soon enough. You waited 10 years for the TRX to compete with the Raptor, you can't wait a couple more months for Ford's response.

It's always interesting reading Land Rover reliability comments from folks who've never owned one... more pointedly--a new one. I've had 2 w/ 1 minor issue on the 2016 RRSC and ZERO on my 2020 RRS SC w/ 16K miles. (Although the moonroof does have an annoying rattle when open and it's "cold" out). 🤷🏽♂️

HP to weight ratio is everything. The 3.5 ford ecoboost is a monster for what it is... a few small mods and it will hold its own against most. Impressed with the rover but they have been making high HP cars for years and are quick quick! Also why didn't you race from a stop??? Thats where the raptor shines and you didn't give it the oportunity...

I mean yeah sure is interesting when it comes to that, they're not even in the same classification of vehicle raptor is more of a off-road track truck vs an all-wheel drive light on/off road SUV. Unfortunately their wasent the most accurate start and jump times, the rolls were not lined up correctly also. Plus large off-road tires didn't help the raptor.

The magical 10R didn’t fill in the gap. The 5.0 SC is instantaneous whole the other needs to build boost. Heavier and all, no replacement for displacement. It’s too heavy and has a loaded drivetrain. Need a new lower 3.5 F150 and it might redeem its self. Regardless another great comparison Sam. Keep it coming!

If acceleration is one of your top 5 criteria try a vehicle that weighs less than 5,500 lbs. The V8 4 door V8 Defender starts at $111,300 before options. The Raptor starts at under $70k.

Depends on the setup. There are plenty of turbo builds that beat supercharger setups. A little more finesse and tuning required, but turbos are great.

@@daison96 not really about “beating”…. (We can just look at top fuel to see who is king 😂) turbo just doesn’t feel the same. Some may like it but unless you’re in an environment to really stay on the throttle so turbos can do their thing I’ll take a supercharged setup all day/every day.

I'm a Ford guy, but, u shoulda had a V8!!! It disturbs me that Ford is pushing turb v6 engine over naturally aspirated v8s! The longevity of a v6 on boost pulling campers (witch is why I choose a v8) is questionable at best! Listen you white collar executives!

I dont know why they felt like the Raptor R needed a GT500 engine. It would have been awesome with just a regular supercharged 5.0 and far easier to get. I think in this case, the TRX pushed ford into a terrible decision.

@@cletusmcroofus704 yep!! KISS, keep it simple stupid! These kids are so obsessed with technology that Ford probably assumed that is the only way to market that expense pos! I've primarily driven Ford with great results, but they went to overhead cam motors for a reason, the increasing demands the Feds put on fuel efficiency! That small turbocharger engine does a better job than my normally aspirated 5.4 in my fx4, using less gas! Just more stuff to wear out and break! I'd still prefer a pushrod engine, be the variable valve timing in ohc makes them more efficient over a broader range.
