Lucid is what I hoped Tesla’s would been. Invested in both but I have high hopes for lucid. Gorgeous car, better quality and tech. Hopefully their scaling improves.

First let them build car for middle class people. They only build cars for rich.looks like they don't even care about building a affordable EV. Right now they came up with gravity with a base price of 80k. You can say model x costs 80k too. But total number of sales of models x is only 2% of model y. 1.2 million model y sold while 24k model x sold

The look on your face as you hit the pedal to the floor is that universal feeling of holy sh.. and pure joy. I remember that feeling from the first time I drove the model 3 and punched it while on a freeway on ramp. Thanks for the review!

Peter Rawlinson will be heartbroken over your comment on the switches. He sounded really proud of the effort they put in to the look and feel of the switch gear. I have had my Air GT for a couple months and have not seen the issue you describe with the screens not loading. I know others have. I have noticed that EA's 350kW chargers often limit charging speed in hot environments (I'm in Texas). If the charger overheats and slows down there will be a message on the dash next to the charging speed "Charging limited by the charger" or words to that effect. Moving to another charger can help. At 50% you should be charging at 150-160kW. The Air can draw up to about 175 kW from a 150kW EA charger, so those might be more reliable to use if plugging in at 35-40%. Good video.

The Lucid Air looks way better than any Tesla, even the interior is so much better. It's really interesting how every other EV manufacturer has better resolution cameras than Tesla does. A-Pillars are bigger due to the curtain airbags inside them, so you might want to adjust your seat so you don't sit up so high. It's "But-un", not "Buh-uns", the two "T's" in the word button are pronounced.

6:10 LUCID's claims about its motors' power density appear misleading: Comparing a Tesla motor assembly to Lucid's, note that in Tesla's case, mounting bosses are integrated into the castings. These transfer high torques between the motor and car frame. Lucid's museum-display motor doesn't include these structural components, so it's not an apples-to-apples comparison.

Note the holes surrounding each end of the Lucid drive unit housing. These are used to bolt the drive to cast brackets that attach to the subframe by isolation bushings. This allows a single drive unit design to be used across various applications, in the Air's case, in front and in back.

On the charging speed, I did not have a particularly good expedience with the charging curve at the EA chargers in Buckeye, AZ. I drive a Tesla Model 3 SR+ and have a CCS adapter, and was charging en route to the Los Angeles area. Power dropped from 106 kW @ 34% SoC to 53 kW @ 41% SoC over a period of 3 minutes. Outside temperature per my car was 105 F.

The point of my comment was to point out that some EVSE may not measure up, as was the case with the EA charger I mentioned, from data that was recorded when I was on a road trip recently. I examined the logs, which led to my comment about the charging curve at this stall.

Callas - the LUCID uses a LESS Advanced battery pack and in the DREAM and GT the Floor of the REAR is raised several Inches , making it UNCOMFORTABLE. the Air PURE allegedly has some batteries Removed and the Floor is lower.

I thought the same until I got the car. It is large, larger than it looks in images, and the surround view turned out to be really helpful maneuvering in tight spaces. It is easy to turn that view both on and off.

Callas- RADAR and LIDAR do not help with ADAS systems , it slows them down. LUCID Dream Drive does not even work . Lucid Dream Drive is only Capable of LEVEL 1 ADAS.

FACT - The above is blatantly untrue. Try doing a bit more research and you might look more credible. Dream Edition was limited up front to 520, kind of hard to have "leftovers" when you have publicly limited the number to begin with. There are some very big differences between a DE and a GT.
