Great job on this review. I appreciate how thorough it was. Do you think an update in 2022 or later to the Outlander Sport (RVR) will include this 1.5 L Turbo engine? Isn't that a no-brainer for Mitsubishi?

I believe so. Those vehicles are already pretty similar, so giving the outlander sport the 1.5t would be a smart idea. I do believe that the 2.0t VC engine from Nissan will be offered in some Mitsubishi models soon, but I’m not sure which ones will have it. Likely the outlander, and the top trims on the outlander sport and eclipse cross. Thanks for the comment!

@W.T.F Car Reviews That engine from Nissan hasn't demonstrated anywhere near the reliability of the Outlander Sport engine, yet. It very well could but the 4G11 has been in continuous production for over a decade. It's proven. Also the 1.5L turbo in the Eclipse Cross is relatively new at 4 years old. We won't know for sure until we see older owners mileage data . I'm pulling for the Eclipse Cross and O Sport to hold on. I want original Mitsu powertrains not Nissan rebadges. Unless, it's a Nissan Frontier. That's a good kinda cheap truck. Mitsu could slap their badge on that, tweak the suspension, put in Mitsubishi excellent AWC, different interior. That truck would sell for cheap. $26 to 32k I'd venture.

They’re similar, but I personally prefer this cars styling and driving dynamics. The crosstreck is a little smaller, but also has a lower step in height. Depends what you’re looking for. Thanks for your comment!

Good vid, but this is in a smaller class than theFord Edge and Chevy Equinox! This more competes against Subaru crosstrek and Mazda CX-30.

It’s slightly smaller than the edge and the equinox, but the Cx-30 and crosstrek compete more with the outlander sport. They’re all pretty similar though. I appreciate your input and thanks for the support!

Honestly, not too much has changed since 2018. There are some well needed updates to the exterior and interior styling, but the overall vehicles are about the same. However, there are a lot more deals and incentives on the eclipse cross now, so if you like the car already, you can definitely get the 2022 for a killer deal.
