How did he find out? Nate doesn't name the garbage competitors.

Seems many of the latest bikes are pretty restrictive in the intake to make the latest legislation , eg the gsx8s, that looked like you'd added capacity and compression once it could breathe in properly !
@Mikkel1116 ай бұрын
Couldn't you just pull the fitler out for the dyno-run to see, if the filter is a restriction?

Just put an M4 on mine and it fits great. Thinking about sending my ECU to you

You picked the ugliest exhaust bro 😂

I’m considering this exhaust. Any good?

Would this tune also cover the 2024 Tracer?

2nd gear is severely restricted in the 2024 model, which is probably what you felt.

Are the first generation exhausts valid for the 2024 model? thank you!!

Also, I have my SC Projects CRT in my garage and putting it on my 2024 SP tomorrow. Does your tune tailor to that exhaust? I wasn’t sure if it was exhaust specific. Thanks yal. 💪🏽

Is CRT fit on MY2024?

Run it, it will be good, but flash it if you want the most power. Just curious if you tried it yet??

So the previous model 21-23 with the same modifications (exhaust only) gave a better result due to the larger airbox?

yes gen3 goes 112 stock 116 with akra 119 akra+tune

Does this mean you have a tune ready for that Akra exhaust? It’s a rainy week here in Wisconsin so it’d be perfectly timed to send you my ECU

@2wheeldynoworks Really looking at this akra for my 2024 mt09, so mines completely stock..and this might be a dumb question because it says right on akrapovic's site that an ecu remap is mandatory for this system...would it be terrible if I just threw it on without tuning the ecu? I'm not looking to make anymore gains than what the stock setup offers..but I definitely don't want it to be any less either..just looking at this system for it's sound and looks, cheers

@@karasugane1414 I'll defer to 2wdw on some of the details, but I did end up getting my bike tuned by them. Here are my findings: - Second gear sucked! It lost all power when you shifted and this was due to Yamaha's throttle-by-wire settings for 2nd gear. A tune fixed this. - Each gear felt a little different where I found I had to learn the gears individually. A tune fixed this so that each gear feels the same in terms of where power rolls on. Smoother experience all around. Even with a stock exhaust, I'd recommend a tune to get it adjusted. If you get an exhaust on the bike, it'll run leaner since you're pushing more air through it. Lean means hot, hot means spark plugs expire sooner, and a variety of other things. You don't HAVE to get a tune - you can just run it knowing it's not perfect. But I'd strongly recommend a tune.

@CosmicBitFlip appreciate the reply, those are some good points you made. I never imagined it would reek havoc on the gears individual power bands like that, definitely sounds like getting this tune would be the way to avoid having a janky riding experience. I've had bikes with aftermarket exhaust and tunes in the past but none so involved as removing the stock ecu and mailing it into the tuner themselves..what was you're turn around like from the time you sent it out to getting it back? I noticed you said you lived in Wisconsin, not sure where the 2wdw are located but I live in Ontario Canada, deeply considering this route due to you're points and for the sake of maintaining the performance of the machine. Cheers

I actually like it. From certain angles though, head on it doesn't look too great with that box in the middle with the high and low beams. But from most other angles it looks pretty cool to me.

New headlight is better than the 2021-2023 which looked like a complete afterthought. This one at least has lines that kind of match the bike…
