And your gray hair is lovely, I'm gray too in a lot of places and I'm only a year younger than you. I learned to embrace it and now it's a part of me. It’s good to see you! I started following you for hair content, but stayed because of your personality. I dealt with hair loss and (stress induced) autoimmune issues. I was never “tied” to my hair, but when I felt like I was not in control of my body it was devastating. I went the holistic doctor route. It was expensive, but definitely worth it. I also dealt with being severely anemic. I had to get infusions and take daily iron supplements. Sending love and light your way. We will be here for your car chats too!

It’s so great to see you!!! I’m glad they’re figuring out what’s going on with your health. Celiac can cause SO many problems. Your content doesn’t have to be just hair. We will rock with you if all you want to do is car chats or vlogs or anything at all. Thank you!! I have to get re tested because I got the bloodwork done after I had already gone gluten free. I still had trace amounts in my system and a lot of symptoms affecting me though because at the time ,I was still using the same toaster etc that the boys and Ty were using... I told the doctor and she said we could still do the test. Even with those trace amounts it came back that I was sensitive to it and she said I was allergic and should stay away from it. The celiac portion of the test didn't flag but I'm suspecting it may have if I had actually been eating gluten at the time. :( At this point whenever I attempt to eat out like if we have to travel I tend to get sick and feel like I'm poisoned more than likely due to cross contamination even though I'm choosing GF foods and at times notifying the servers of the allergy... :(

I've been dealing with unexplained hair loss since the pandemic started. Demonologists said they don't see any issues so now I'm scheduled to get bloodwork done to check for an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder. I've always had thick curly hair and being young with thinning and and balding has been a pretty big confidence blow. I recently got fed up, big chopped and now I'm wearing wigs for the moment. It's definitely a sensitive topic. Hoping for the best for everyone going through it.

My young beautiful sister. I sympathize with what your going through. I’m a lot older have experience hair change. Please don’t give up and prior to sister locks, extensions etc. you must go to a dermatologist to determine what the problem is with your scalp/hair. By putting a band-Aid on your problem it’s not understanding what the problem really is. In other words sister locks, corn rolls, Extensions can be done but you have to know what the problem is before you do these things. By trying to hide it is OK but knowing what’s causing it is much more important. Also it might be treatable by diet, less manipulation, etc. you said your hair grows and then breaks consider a dermatologist to advise you. DON’T give up and stay in prayer God got this. Much Success 🙏🏾🙏🏾👍🏾

Time to see a dermatologist that’s an expert in African American hair. A scalp biopsy will identify your problem. There is a type of alopecia whereas your hair growth cycle is blunted. But I believe this type is treatable. Good to see you and your fam on video. You’re a joy to watch. Don’t wait! Get to the doc!

You may just be allergic to America. Honestly, I've been developing dairy, egg and wheat allergies the past couple of years as well. When I visited Europe last year, they magically disappeared. Came back, immediate digestive issues. My husband and I met a man from Greece who is living in the US. He said that he never had dairy or wheat issues in his country. After a year or so here, he started developing sensitivity to dairy and wheat. When he goes back home, again....they magically disappear. Anyway, I really wish you the best. I very much appreciate your content because my hair is just like yours. Sharing your story helps a lot of us going through the same thing!

Cloves Cloves Cloves! Hi Kris. Nice to see you're back as I've enjoyed your videos! Im a 4c natural who has experienced years of thinning hair & hair loss due to blood pressure medicine, stress, menopause and everything else that we as black women tend to take on in life. Ive tried countless remedies with limited and no long term success at retaining hair or length. Someone suggested i try homemade clove water. (boiled distilled water & cloves) which i spray directly on scalp daily and massage. Do not rinse out. Also i will use home made clove oil (lightly boil whatever carrier oil that works best on your hair and add the cloves). I leaves some of cloves in each product. My hair thrives with grapeseed oil as my hair Does Not like coconut, olive nor castor oil or proteins.. Results have been AMAZING!!!! Hair shed reduced within a week and my strands have been getting noticeable thicker. Ive been using for 8 weeks now and my hair is growing like a weed and no longer breaks, snaps or sheds. Prayerfully this will help some of my fellow naturals. God bless!

I thought that I was the only one experiencing this as a 4C. Additionally, my gray hair was such a different curl pattern. I ended up doing a big chop and then started silk pressing because my gray hair would not coil as well as I had been accustomed. I that so tired for silk pressing that I resorted to relaxing once a year. I am now 3 months post last relaxer and my new growth is very tolerable and my roots are dense again! So, I am planning to transition; back to natural for at least a year. Anyway, your hair is telling you a lot about your health and hormones. I pray that you find your balance and then you will see the length, health, and density you once had. You will also discover that you will need to change your hair products.

my advice to you is to make the best out of it!! I can tell that you may be a bit overwhelmed or saddened, but don’t let any of life’s challenges get the best of you. it’s ok to cry but get up and rejoice again!! do what makes you feel good inside. if you want to experiment with wearing wigs, i’d say go for it, and have fun with it! maybe you can even do wig reviews ☺️

Similar health issues, down to the lactose and gluten intolerance and went through a phase in 2020 where my hair was falling out terribly. I will say the thing that helped me the most was time, of course and completely cutting out tension oin any form (no twists, updo, puffs, braids, ponytails, etc). My hair has always been more sensitive to tension that most people's but during that time it was exasperated due to it's weak state. Had to learn how to master wash and gos and things got better. I know how you feel. It's extremely frustrating and will bring you to tears. For what it's worth, I LOVE fringe bangs on afro hair! It really highlights your facial features and it's trending now. Good luck and you are so much more than your hair!

Hey girl! Sooooo happy to see you again and you make graying look fabulous 😉 I've been going through something similar since my Dad passed in 2019. Last year, I was done fighting with Kizzie (that's my hair when she's misbehaving) and decided to try locs. The two strand twist method left me looking homeless after a couple weeks. I didn't have the patience for comb coils -- especially after my texture changed AGAIN -- thank you Amlodipine 🙄 Finally, I discovered braidlocs and haven't looked back -- perfect for my multi-textured, bipolar and slightly fragile hair. Hope you find what works for you...😏

Thank you so much for your transparency sis! I know it is painful. I went through hair loss in the crown of my head for a year before I gave up and went natural. That was thirteen years ago and a very good decision. It seems for me it's something about hormonal changes and possibly medication that triggered and still can occasionally triggers some hair thinning. I pray for your full healing and especially for your emotional wellbeing during this tough season.❤

Welcome back. Thank you for your courage in shedding light on this situation & letting other naturals suffering from hair loss know that they're not alone. I am suffering from hair loss and its devatating, terrifying and depressing. I was diagnosed with androgenic alopecia. My deatimogist placed me on meds. Ive noticed some in improvemen mostly the front of my hair. You need to see a dermatologist immediately who specializes in hair loss preferably black. You need a prodessional who specializes in hair loss they can examine your scalp, order lab work as well as scalp biopsies to see whats going on. Thank you for sharing. Stay positive & strong.

So great to see you again! I went through a very similar hair-loss situation when I was about 5 years older than you are now = had all kinds of testing done by my general practitioner, my gynecologist, an endocrinologist, etc and none could give me a definitive answer. However, it was suggested by some of the medical practitioners that I might be going through “the change” - even though I didn’t have any of the other symptoms associated w that. Eventually, after about 2 years, my hormones must have stabilized because my hair stopped falling out. It never grew back as thick as it used to be, but it does grow longer at a relatively steady pace and yes, like you, I have a lot more grey hair (I keep mine dyed, LOL). Just keep being gentle w yourself and with your hair. If you stay the course, using quality products and not putting unnecessary tension on the hair/scalp, I think everything will work out soon. Keep the faith!

Thanks for sharing. I too have thinning hair problems. I have been going through this for 10+ years and it has gotten worse over the last couple of years. I’ve started doing some research and figured out I have a thyroid issue. Per my blood work, my thyroid levels were low. Gluten causes a problem with my thyroid so I try to keep my diet grain free. I’ve added collagen to my diet and essential oils topically. I also make sure I take a multivitamin and selenium(for my thyroid). My thyroid level has gone up and hair growth has started. I think a trichologist could help before a dermatologist. I found a trichologist in my area that’s also a stylist! I may go see her if my hair growth stops. Hang in there and keep researching. Thanks again for sharing! 💕

Hello Kriss, For some reason, you were on my mind. Great to see you. Prayers up to you and your family. I do understand about your hair loss because I have the same problem. I started losing hair in the top center of my scalp. I thought it was just due to the fact that I am getting older. I went to a determatologist and she said that I had alopecia and she treated my scalp with steroid shots. Well, that did not work. So, I finally decided to go to a naturalpathetic doctor because I knew that my issue had to be internal. My doctor diagnosed me with having a gut issue. Now, I take supplements and use essential oils to treat my scalp. I avoid a lot of sugar and carbs, because that is what attacks my scalp. Since I have been doing this, some of my hair has actually started to grow back. I amd just letting you know that you are not alone when it comes to hair loss and I am praying that eventually, you will somehow get to the root of your problem. God Bless!!🙏🙏

Hey Kriss, thanks for being open about your hair loss. Can you do a video showing different hairstyles and how you camouflage the hair loss? Miss your content, much love to you and your family.

Don't stress Kris. Stress will only make it worse. Know you are not alone...praying for you...just be present with your fam and say screw however it looks...just care for it best your can and not stress...maybe a tricologist instead of a dermatologist

I am dealing with hair thinning as well. You should definitely go to a dermatologist, to see what they might find. Good seeing you ! Keep us updated.

I missed your content so much! Hair loss is really traumatic, especially living inal a society that prioritizes aesthetics. Thank you for sharing your truth 💕

I'm losing my hair too. But I know it's mostly genetic (grandpa, mom, auntie - we all have the same hairline). I've recently changed my diet and I'm seeing improved condition of my hair/skin/nails but no regrowth. I'm working on acceptance. I bought a wig but I'm not comfortable/confident enough to wear it.. Wishing you the best.

So sorry to hear of what you’re going through. I’ve been going through the same thing for years now, with a bald patch on my crown, so just been going to the barbers for years and keeping my hair low. Never been able to grow my hair as long as yours coz it just looks terrible. Coincidentally I am also intolerant to gluten and dairy, with growing allergies and have ALWAYS said that my issues are gut related, (leaky gut) so am working on getting that sorted. Nevertheless despite what you’re going through on the inside, I just wanted to let you know that you still look beautiful, and your greys are stunning. 😍 Don’t give up hope. We WILL get there hun.

I'm always happy to see you videos when they pop up. I'm sorry that you are still having issues and hope you find out what is causing them and find a solution so you can be back 100%...(I don't mean YT (which would be great) I mean health wise). I love gray hair so to me yours blends well with the black and looks fab. I look forward to your next video, how ever long we have to wait to see it.
