Hi Chris, long time subbie here. Glad to see your doing well, your hair actually looks beautiful even though you’ve camouflaged the front. If you didn’t tell us I don’t think anyone would be able to tell. I know it’s frustrating but wishing you continued good health and blessings. ❤

40??? Where? You look great. It’s been a while since I caught one of your videos. I think it’s just in time. A while ago I noticed thinning in the front of my hair edge loss and two bald spots from tight headbands. I put the edge loss down to edge control. I have a low manipulation hair routine but have had to start a supplement routine. So far so good one bald spot filled in, the edges are slowly coming back, my overall hairline has thicken. Now I’m on a break from supplements but will start back tomorrow.

I know living with it is rough and it may not feel like it but this is such an improvement from previous updates you've given. You are also doing a great job of camouflaging the hair loss. Ms. Fro looking good, if you did not show us and tell us I would not have known. Also you are looking good, love seeing your radiant smile again. As an OG I'm always happy when I see you post a video.

You and I have the same hair type. I literally know no one in my family or otherwise who has hair like mine. I have been battling thinning and balding since about 2006. My struggle has been slow, but somewhat progressive. I was maintaining by keeping my hair natural until I went back to a relaxer in 2008. Then, I keep that relaxed hair until 2015. It seemed like the thinning was getting worse with the relaxer. I've been natural ever since. I have a bald spot at my crown. I was maintaining for years because my hair is so dense and thick no one could tell that I had a bald spot at my crown. A few years ago, I decided to start getting silk presses. What a disaster! My hair always smelled burnt. And although my husband liked it, I hated it. It was expensive, I always smelled smokey and burnt, and when the hair moved one could clearly see my bald patch. The worst part was it looked even bigger. It even smelled bad after I would wash it at home! I stopped the silk presses. I had heat damage. I tried wear twist outs to camouflage the heat damage until it could grow out enough for a big chop. I work a public job, so mind you, I was so stressed about my public appearance throughout all of this. Well, I now can happily share that I rock a twa. My only concern is that I would prefer to grow my hair out like it was before the silk press fiasco. However, I thank God for this hard to manage, dense, thick hair He gave, because it does still camouflage my bald patch. Also, I am now not afraid of this THORN, I keep praying to God for relief from. If I have to, I'll just start rocking beautiful head wraps. Lol

Hey beautiful lady. I always jump when i see your video. I am a follower from long ago. Your story sounds like mine in two ways. First, I have thin edges that are hereditary. Not much i can do but camouflage. Secondly, I have been waiting and waiting for a new job and have gone through so much in my current position. I have been praying. Waiting is the hard part. He has a plan for you babygirl. Its tough in this season. Hang in there. God bless! P.S. I really think you need to start a podcast. #thatvoiceofyours

I’m going through the same thing. I’ve gotten iron infusions, taking vitamins and trying to fix my diet. I have been following you forever and prior to putting locs in my hair, it was a lot fuller. I’ve always had fine hair but I had no other issues. After 8 years of having interlocks I cut them last March. I felt like the my hair was starting to thin. I wore it short for a while until I could do my own braids. Anyway, I blew out my short hair a few days ago & around the temples are thin, like see-through, and when I made a middle part there’s a wider gap. I’m also peri menopausal too. This hurts my heart but I have to give it to God.

Glad to see you’re doing well! I’ve continued to have thinning hair issues in my crown over the years. I’ve tried everything I can think of to grow it back. Like you, the hair texture I have helps to camouflage it. I’m wearing my hair in a TWA now. I started to notice other small spots in my head as I get older. A dermatologist has never been able to figure it out either. I’ve just learned to live with it 🤷🏾♀️

Pumpkin oil pills work better for me than using it on my hair.. I’ve been taking them everyday for two and a half months and so far I have hair growing in my alopecia spot after 13 years of no hair.

I’m using pumpkin seed oil pills too and my hair is not shedding anymore and it’s growing. I’ve used the oil on my hair but I agree with ingesting it.

I agree - w benefits of ingesting the pumpkin seed oil; moreover, it’s good for so many things! Also, I believe the brand you choose is really important: “Swanson” works best for me, and I take two capsules every day.

Well hello Ms Beautiful with Miss Fro you don't seem to have changed much - Ya know you were my regular go to channel in the early days of me going natural - like me you have some silvers popping up and sprinning out. I have worn locs since the pandemic and am contantly thinking how I can get them to look freash. My hair in the crown is fine and thing. It seems some things we have no control over - Wishing you and Miss Fro all the very best.

Being allergic/sensitive to so many things (same as me), maybe switching to one product line may help? I switched to TGIN a few years ago and it’s been amazing. That is the only line of products I use on my hair now, from shampoo to leave in. Look into it and do some research to see if it may be an option for you. For me, mixing different product lines became a problem I didn’t know I had. It only became clear when I started with the shampoo and DC and saw I was losing way less hair with each wash.

Thanks so much for sharing! I have considered that when selecting products, it has been frustrating though when it'll be like the shampoo and conditioner are cool, but the styler or leave has ingredients I'm unable to use 🥲. I have been looking into Oyin Handmade fragrance free line though!
