so with the S and or SV trim... do you have the option to get LED lights. instead of halogens?

Great description. Does the 2022 have frontal collision breaking? Does your dealership offer any discount on spray in bed liner if the vehicle is leased?
@loganfromnissan692 жыл бұрын
Forward Collision Warning, as well as Forward Automatic Braking, are available. Those technologies are found on the technology package which you can get on ANY trim of the Frontier! As for the bed liners, we do not offer such discount, however some of the 2022 Frontiers are equipped with a Spray-In Liner from the factory!

can you get the LED lights on this trim level?
@loganfromnissan693 жыл бұрын
Yes! The SV Premium Package adds LED headlights, LED running lights, as well as LED fog lights! The Premium Package does require that you first get the Technology and Convenience Packages, however.

Adding a fog lights will cost $250 + labor $350 (NJ). I have the same trim with tech package. I have the type A (halogen, like this one) and planning to change the halogen bulb to a LED one. Im more particular with the absence of DRL so that will also my next project to add on.

Lovely colour - but I think I will let some other folks be the guinea pig to determine if JATCO actually did a good job of building the automatic transmission. Apparently Nissan could not engineer their own transmission so they bought a design from Mercedes. For context, there was a short-lived project where Nissan pickups were sold in Europe and some other countries with the Mercedes Benz logo/branding on them at the MB dealerships. If I happen to see a Frontier on my local Nissan lot that has a window sticker that shows the transmission country of origin as Germany, I might pony up. My spider senes say that JATCO will build these transmissions cheaper and the quality will suck much like their past performance on the CVT transmission that Nissan put in my Pathfinder.

So far, the transmission has held up great! The current 9-speed has been in the Frontier since the 2020 year model, as Nissan wanted to get some time and miles on the powertrain before completely changing the body-style. Its an adaptive transmission, so it tunes itself to the owners driving habits. If you're an aggressive driver, it will be more tuned to put the power down. If you're more laid back, it will be a more calm transmission. And likewise, it tunes itself to the main use case of the vehicle as well. A Frontier that spends most of its lifetime towing a trailer, will have shift points that more benefit a trailering situation. That way, the Frontier is ready for anything you throw at it!

@@loganfromnissan69 my local can’t even tell me what country the transmission is made in. Apparently they sold three of them an no one thought to read that country of origin sticker on the windshield. So have you seen a 2020 Frontier with 100k miles on that transmission yet? Has your dealer shop cracked one open yet to see what it is all about? And it sounds like Mercedes’ Benz did a great job of designing this transmission based on the adaptive functions you described.
@loganfromnissan693 жыл бұрын
My Dealer hasn't seen any of these new 9-speeds that are crazy high mileage just yet...the highest I've personally seen was right around the 45k mark. The gentleman uses it for his personal business doing part and material deliveries. His is still going strong!
@mikekern65773 жыл бұрын
@@nwalker8866 It says right on the window sticker the transmission is made in Japan.

Most of the JATCO transmission problems were in their front wheel drive cars, not the rear wheel drive trucks.
