Peugeot's brand reboot in the Philippines sees it with a new lineup and new energy with Astara. The 2022 Peugeot 5008 is part of this change. Formerly an MPV, the facelifted 5008 is now positioned as a compact crossover SUV. Let's find out what it brings to the segment in this review with Eric.

He's suited to be a radio announcer or a sports commentator. You don't feel the sincerity to what he is saying.There' no personal connection to the car. And he's more conscious to his enunciation and the way he modulates his voice.

Starting around 7:37 mark, while driving on EDSA, you can hear a rattle in the background while he was talking... Was that from the car or the camera/audio equipment?

i've been inside the 5008 and it definitely does not have as much space as is being shown here (assuming the seats are supposed to be in their standard positions). they probably have the seats in front of them pushed up forward. you can see while he's sat in the diver's seat, the seat back is at least by the B-pillar, covering it. but when he's in the 2nd row, you can clearly see the B-pillar exposed. you can also see how far forward the front seat is pushed compared to the center console. same thing when he's in the 3rd row. there's also a lack of any real criticism. sure, the presenter or writer may just really like this vehicle, but whatever the reason for that is, it makes the video feel more like a glorified advertisement than an actual review

Agree. Also saw other reviews of this. The space conveyed here is unrealistic, especially the second row. And with other reviews, the third row is tested and it was tight, probably one of the least spacious among other MPVs. Also as mentioned, the ergonomics of this thing and how you operate the controls, is a lot to be desired. It's just not as easy to operate as Japanese cars, by the looks of it.

My and my cousins are above 6' tall. Based on our heights, we've adjusted driver, 2nd row and we still comfortably fit the 3rd row. The unbelievably larger cabin space vs CX-8 or CX-9 is one of many reasons for buying this. Btw, I was a Mazda fan boy until the istop thing pissed me off enough to test drive other brands. Finally selected the 5008 Allure. Better riding comfort and high speed cornering.
