These look like such fun cool daily drivers. Not overly powerful, handles good and they come with a third pedal. People are spoiled with the whole HP wars thing, although what usually justifies that is the pricing. But they look fun as hell

I vote BRZ TS. One of my biggest regrets with my BRZ was not waiting an extra year for the TS trim to be available. ~$2.5k for the Brembos and Hitachi damper upgrade from the factory is a great value.

On Toyota side you get those for 1500.

@@vando1267yes. On original topic, I got the BRZ as well, 2023 but mine was delivered on September 2022, so 2024 would have been 1.5 year later, so I don't regret my 2023. 2025 has steering wheel tune change and some bits and pieces. It's going to be like this till it dies and even last year would have some special edition. I am going to replace mine with whatever is last model year of this gen.

Don’t be so dramatic man, it’s not like you bought an ND Miata just to realize a little bit later than an ND2 with so many revisions is coming out… It’s the same car just with better brakes (the dampers aren’t significant, it’s mostly the brakes that people are looking for when buying these), upgrade them yourself. Ok so it might cost you an extra 1000-1500$ over the Ts model, for this amount of money you describe your decision to enjoy this platform one year in advance as one of your “biggest regrets”? Proportions. I’m glad I bought my limited back than. I will spend the extra money how I see fit.

I actually hauled ass go get the 2023 limited as soon as possible. The tS trim has eyesight built in, which is not something I wanted in my car. I can do the mods later if I wanted it, but I would rather have the barebones car.

Installing coilovers is one of the EASIEST things to do. Just need to make sure your alignment shop isnt to far away.

As I’ve said elsewhere, for 25-35k nothing beats these cars. Used to new comparisons are asinine and can be done all day for anything. There’s no other 2dr, rwd, lightweight manual performance/sports car in this category or price space.

Try some HKS Hipermax Rs and you'll never go back to anyting else. Not even Ohlins. Just make sure to add some negative camber to the Machpherson struts and all machpherson strut front set ups benefit from a strut tower brace. Deflection is a major enemy. Cusco LSD brace does wonders for putting the power down. Along with the full Cusco under body bracing. Chassis can't be stiff enough. Solid aluminun bushings also do wonders for the steering feel. Along with a steering rack brace. And that's why body flexing Miatas are not the answer. Becasue torsioinal rigidity. Where precision comes from.... This car is the "Project Feel" sports car we've all been waiting for.

This car makes me wish I wasn’t in a CARB state😢. Can you comment on nvh of the chassis-mounted IRP shifter? How noticeable is transmission rattle at high rpms? Debating between this and the Ultra CAE shifter, although I like how this doesn’t require cutting the shifter surround.

What's the modification that gives it the Japanese dialogue on startup? I know they're just the tolltag on JDM imports but I think it's cool.

No brainer, buy the new car. Its untouched and you'll certainly get a better interest rate buying from a dealer instead of a provate party.
