2022 Tesla Model X Plaid vs. Tesla Model 3 Performance

The M3P is a great car but not even close to equivalent in 0-60 to the MXP. If Tesla's M3P of 3.1 and the MXP of 2.5 were true, that alone would be a huge difference. But MXP dragy results are in the 2.3 range and M3P dragy results are in the 3.3 range so the real-world difference is a second.

Congratulations, I am a former Model 3 performance owner from 2018 as well, car had zero problems, just upgraded to Model X PLAID with tilting screen, unfortunately had to take it for repairs, following are the things being fixed right now while they gave the loaner car: 1. Entire rear glass needs to be replaced since scratch rubber is part of the sealing - unknown when part will arrive 2. Air Suspension warning is due to internal part failure of left front damper - unknown when part will arrive 3. Left falcon wing - rear door controller is bad hence waiting for part 4. Rear A/C had no air in 3rd row-> seat pillar, re-ducting done, resealed parts, airflow repaired, reason A/C is weak compared to old Tesla is because air is being re-routed from the heat pump. Unclear when all car parts will arrive at this time, hence car will remain grounded for indefinite amount of time.

Sorry to hear about the issues, please keep us posted on the repairs. How do you compare the acceleration feel between the two cars?

@@M3rewards Absolutely, they just told me hopefully it’ll be ready by the end of next week. I have noticed the acceleration is much more powerful from 70-130 mph in MXP compared to M3P. MXP is just a standard deviation ahead and much more comfortable.

@@bassamshakil, hopefully you’ll have it soon. Were they able to fix any of the issues remotely or do you have to bring it in for everything? That’s one obstacle here, in South Carolina the nearest service center is around three hours away.

@@M3rewards all the issues thus far seem to be hardware related hence they asked me to bring it to nearest service center which is thankfully only 30 min away from my house in Phoenix.

Wow nice congratulations for the plaid. I have model 3 performance. I think I can’t afford the plaid atm going to buy one after 2-3 years both cars are amazing you don’t get bored

@@M3rewards I’m debating trading my a3 in for a used 2021 around next summer. I’m a 19 year old who’s a car enthusiast, so I just want something that’s reliable, low maintenance , high tech, and fun as hell to drive.
